Staff is completely lacking in common sense and people skills. A bit of back story, I had to call the TD Visa line to order a replacement credit card and have it sent to the Seton branch. The gentleman on the phone (who was great) told me it would arrive in three business days and that I can just call to make sure it's there before I go to pick it up. Awesome. I've been incredibly busy with coursework and a nursing school clinical rotation, so I didn't get around to calling until today. (4 business days later).

The woman who answered the phone had zero manners. I simply asked if there was a credit card at the branch for me to pick up, and she said dismissively "well if there was we would have called you." To which I said, "yes, I understand that, but you probably phoned my landline and I am rarely home." Then she said "Well we would have left a message then." Very rude tone, and totally unnecessary. I felt like saying, I didn't check my landline voicemail and I'm on the phone with you now, please just tell me if it's there. Why is this so hard? I'm your customer. Try being friendly or at least polite. I give her my name. She repeatedly asks if it's AlexanDRA (female name) or AlexanDER (male name). Totally lacking in common sense. I say it's "Dra. I'm a girl." To which she yells into the phone "WHAT? DER? It's DER?" I say "no, it's Alexandra. The female form of the name." At this point I'm getting pretty annoyed. She tells me it's there, so I go to pick it up.

I was helped by a guy who was just as useless. He immediately says "Oh, YOU'RE the one who just called!" Ummm is it not okay to phone the branch? How much did you two talk about it? Did you really not have anything else to do? I pull out two pieces of ID because the nice guy from the call centre said I'd need two. The rude jerk at the branch said he only needed one, and while he was looking at it, he said condescendingly, "we DID call you and left a message." I replied "You called my landline, and I am never home." Not that it should have been a big deal or anything. Jesus... I picked up the credit card the day after it arrived and they acted so weird about it. It was just bizarre.

How it should have gone:

"Hi, is there a credit card there for me to pick up?"

"Let me check..... yep, it's here!"

"Okay great, thanks!"

...

"Hi, how are you? I'm here to pick up a credit card. Here's my ID."

"Here's your credit card."

"Thanks!"

This branch is a microcosm of the larger issue that plagues this financial institution. For instance, it took them 7 hours to return a phone call in which all I asked for was an appointment to open a specific account.

When my call was finally returned they stated that it would be 7 days until the next available appointment. I'm not sure in what world this is considered an acceptable time frame for a basic and routine service.

This also not the first time that the customer service at this branch has been extremely poor.

I think it may be time for TD to hire some more customer service advisers and put some of those billions in profits to better use.

We don't like this bank. One day I came to deposit some cash and some fellow instead deposit he withdrew the money.. Always, we need to wait to much and personal not professional.

I originally opened several accounts at this branch over a year ago with Christopher Schaab. He misinformed me of the limitations on the accounts he set up form my children, he somehow incorrectly set up their RESP accounts so that the end result was having 4 (for 2 children) accounts. He had over a year to merge these accounts, which he never achieved. He also had a year to obtain the RESP funds from my previous institution, which he also wasn't able to achieve. Two of the three times I approached him, he conveniently received an e-mail that morning pertaining to the matter.

Twice the branch manager was supposed to contact me to which he never did. So either he was too lazy to do so or his staff (tellers) do not respect him enough to pass on the promises made on his behalf, either way this shows poor leadership.

If you know the ins and outs of banking and are fully informed walking in so you can direct them to exactly what you want, well there is an %80 they will be able to execute your requests without a hiccup. If you want bots programed to not think and have a polite response to everything you say this is the bank for you!!!! But if you are like me and are seeking professional advice, I would recommend taking your banking elsewhere.

The saddest part of my experience today was when I directly told Schaab that "I am closing all my accounts and trying to transfer RESP accounts because your customer service was horrible". To which he replied "I can see that". His inability to process information was apparent when he agreed he was horrible at his job.

Very disappointed in this bank. Might be ok for basic day to day banking but if you need real services stay away from this Branch. The lack experience is present and everyone acts very nonchalant about everything.

My last experience left me sitting in the waiting room for 30 mins, while waiting for a fax confirmation. 20 mins later i'd realized the clerk forgot about me. When i asked to return my papers he said he was working on it. But its clear he was pre occupied somewhere else, as i noticed the paper were just sitting on the machine. Not sure why what cause the branch was empty.

Our business will be looking for a better suite business bank in the near future.
