Excellent time. I have a three year old who will spend multiple hours in the children's museum at a time. Great place to go if you want to get out of the house but go somewhere indoors for kids to run around.
The annual pass pays for itself in around 3 or 4 visits. Great value!

Awesome place to visit with children of different ages! Great exhibits and interactive stations. Loved to craft from toothpicks and making animated movies. The dome is more for older kids, 5 year old fell asleep on the universe show and frankly I did too. The place has lockers and a good food court. Liked this better than the one in Edmonton. The price was relatively cheap too.

Lots of adults do not like it. Especially those who loved the old Science Center (downtown Calgary).Other people find it expensive. I have season passes (me and a guest) to the science, zoo and heritage park in Calgary. For the year, if I go to one location a week it costs me $11 for 2 people including parking. About the same as two coffees. It's cheaper than going to the movies.

The reasoning behind 5 stars:
- It's amazing as a space for outdoor and indoor activities
- They have cool workshops for ages 5 & up where kids can use real tools and learn real skills (soldering, silk screening)
- As an early childhood educator it ticks any and every box for early development
- The newly renovated cafe is amazing, great food for the price, plus healthy
- The expirments are fun, informative, and cool
- They offer adults only nights once a month
- They have a huge amount of books with amazing ideas - so adults if you're bored, put down the phone and read!!!!
- Most adults also totally miss the creative kids museum. If you think Spark is not good for younger kids you have not been to the Creative Kids Museum
- The staff and volunteers are incredible

I could go on and on. I as an adult love the space, plus you can do the activities if you want to. You just have to ask and have a willingness to play.

One of our favourite places in the city! My budding scientist can never get enough of this place. Fun and interesting activities for all ages. Passes are worth it if you plan to go more than once. Great in the summer, with the outdoor play area. Great in the winter because there is so much to do inside.

Great place for learning.
Great place to hang out with friends.
Great place for a date.
Great place for kids.
Great place to have fun.
It was too pricey for me but the experience was worth it. I will definitely go back.

I was hungry upon arrival but because there so many things to see and do I've forgotten all about my hunger hahahaha. 2 hours wasn't enough to experience the whole place, so if you plan to visit it, make sure you have at least 4 hours for the whole thing.

User

Very good place for younger kids but fails to entertain the older ones. Not as extensive as what other cities like Vancouver offer but still enough to capture your child's imagination. I wish it had more sophisticated exhibits however for the hands on stuff.

User

Great place for kids even adults. Our passes get us into other sci centers 4 free. Huge bonus.

User

A lovely place for kids to learn by playing. Science is first and foremost. However, kids will learn without realizing it. Full of engaging exhibits, outdoor playground, theatre, restaurant and so much more.

It is a pretty interesting place, and there's no lack of hands on experiments to do, but the price is pretty high. There's a kids play area to encourage learning through play, and even adult nights monthly. Pack a lunch though because that cafeteria is going to cost almost as much as getting through the door. Don't forget to check out the theatre for some really cool interactive demonstrations.

This is definitely a must see place. However the price is a bit high for the majority. We happened to get invited as a family for children that participated in a learning activity held there. Lots of parking for everyone. Indoor stuff galore. But at over $30/ person, it might be something that isn't a regular visit. Many things on main floor as well as second floor. The theater is simply amazing as well

The Star Trek exhibit was great, but other than that it isn't super exciting. Mostly geared towards kids, so it's a good choice if you have kids. Otherwise, prepare to mostly watch kids play with things because you likely won't get a chance to do the interactive activities.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE OUTSIDE STRUCTURE! There are only two floors inside and the top half is mainly the cafeteria. I ended up paying $92.00 for two kids, one adult and one teen. After three hours we were ready to leave but had to wait for our show at the Dome Theater. This was extremely disappointing and should have not happened since we paid so much money. We will never come here again as it was not worth it. The only thing we did enjoy was the show at the Dome Theater. Other than that you're just helping to pay their electrical bill. This place is way too expensive for what it offers you. Even after reading the other negative reviews I decided to give it a chance. But I warn that whoever is reading this to go someplace else.

User

Great place to take the kids to burn some energy when the weather is poor. Lots of space to run around, and exciting activities to keep them entertained. And the new outside play area is also fantastic on a nicer day!

I love taking our 18 month old son here. He can be amused for hours in the children's section of Spark. At the same time my husband and myself love exploring the many exhibits. There is definitely something for everyone and the clean and well maintained venue coupled with friendly helpful staff make memberships worth it.
