Amazing Place

User

Love it there. My family moved to the city and. Everything is just perfect . It has everything we need there.

User

I take my one year old here often. Swimming instructors are great, the indoor playground is immaculate, and they have many programs that my child can do with me; strollercize, boot camp with baby, active tots....missing the pool right now though..

User

Great place!

Big swimming area for all ages

User

We were at the indoor playground. My only complaint/concern about it, is that the platforms used to climb up to the long slide are just hard plastic, and not at all padded. Other than that, this playground is great, and we will be back! šŸ˜Š

My kids and I love this place. However, it needs more food options / restaurants, so we can spend the entire day in there without the need to get out everytime to buy food or just get stuck with DQ that literally has no variety!!!

User

I think it's a great rec centre but there's room for a little improvement!

Number one is that it would be nice if there was a more healthier food option even in a vending machine (protein bars maybe, anything that someone plant based/vegan can eat).

The second is the cardio equipment. I hated doing cardio there cause you just in a semi circle staring at others working out too, I do like the couple of treadmills that you turned to he window, I always try and get one of those!

And you could use a cheat fly machine, that's pretty standard in most gyms!

But great place check it out!!

I love this rec centre. Cindy's spin class on a Sunday is awesome - a killer - but awesome. I love seeing all the different activity in the centre, people of all ages and fitness levels - enjoying the facility together. My friend had her son's party here and he had access to the ice and was able to play soccer - they had the best time. The only thing I would change is having tags available in the spin room to attach to bikes you have noticed an issue with. Reporting to the desk doesn't seem to get things fixed quickly - the tags could also notify someone else that there is an issue with the bike so to use another one.

What a beautiful recreation centre .You have it all !!!

User

The pool was OK, but not for the price. The family change room was disgustingly dirty. A dirty diaper just left on the floor, dirt & hair everywhere. Gross! I expected better.

User

Its been awhile 2-3yrs since the last time I visited Rec Center. I was excited to go and hit the gym again but frustrated with how the staff behave..They should learn some manners! Respectful and courteous! I encountered another incident yesterday and because of that I am not coming back again.

User

I was excited to start using this facility but honestly it's been disappointing. The gym is so uncomfortably warm all the time (I've seen the thermostat set as high as 23) despite the fact that they have recently added more fans. To make it worse the pool makes the cardio section so humid. Furthermore they run fitness classes in the middle of the gym in the mid morning so despite boasting new equipment, it's off limits. The change room situation is pathetic too but I see others have pointed that out already!!

User

Facility is good from what I have seen so far, but generally speaking the night aqua fit instructors that I have had to date are not at all good.

User

The centre is a nice place however parking is horrible. It feels like it was designed by a child with a box of crayons and 15 minutes of free time to doodle. Everytime you see a spot and pull up it has some sort of restriction. If my child didn't have a game scheduled there I would never go back!

User

The arena viewing areas are extremely cold. One would think for such a big sports complex they could have thought of ways to heat the stands.

User

The 'Fitness Professionals' that work up in the fitness centre seem to be lacking accountability. Posted rules and general courtesy are ignored by patrons daily, yet never enforced by staff. People bring backpacks, gym bags, coats etc with them around the gym, cluttering floor space. Weights are slammed and dropped constantly and numerous patrons fail to wipe down equipment. The staff let this slide, always. I have yet to see a single staff member enforce anything. Period. Also, I came back from a class to find my locker (the "secure" ones facing the counter) unlocked and wide open with the mechanism and numbers jammed. I know it was locked when i went to the class, as i make a habit of turning and pulling the wheel to make sure it is secure. I figured one of the staff opened my locker mistakenly, while opening one for a patron. Luckily, my wallet and phone weren't missing, but when i brought the issue up with one of the staff, she seemed clueless and didn't care. I really enjoy the Terwillegar and Meadow locations and amenities offered but all of the above mentioned issues seem to be ongoing and unresolved. I might consider switching to a private gym.

Nice pool. Change rooms are disgustingly dirty. Full of dirt, hair etc.

The fact that I just had to do first aid on a girl while your ā€œlifeguardsā€ stood there and watched me didnā€™t know where what was in their bag , sickened me to think that girl was going in to shock and I was the only one who was helping ! Let me know if your hiring because they could do with some leadership

User

The facility is ok but if you have a baby don't take them to the Kids Den.There staff can't watch a baby and toddlers.I left my baby for 30min and came back exactly how I left her.She was still strapped in her car seat.I offered before I left to take her out because she was sleeping but the girl said she would take care of her.Never again will I take her to any rec centre Kids Den.One try was enough for me.
