Thai Boat Restaurant

We ate there last night. Very clean and comfortable with great service. The food was excellent too. My 11 year old son came out of the restaurant and said, "Now that was a really excellent choice mom." We all enjoyed it and cleaned off our plates.

We came in around 2:30 without realizing they closed at 3, some warning would have been nice. Service was awful we had to gesture her to our table so my husband could order a drink and then before our food even arrives she tells us they are closing in 10 and that we have to pay for our food before we get it so they can close the till. My food was ok, I had noodles but, nothing special. My husband's was red curry and the curry was incredibly runny and you could still taste the texture of spices, very grainy. We should've ran as soon as we saw the warning on the menu that more or less said if you don't like our food don't come back.... We shouldn't of even given it a chance. Worst Thai food I've ever had in the city and to top it off my husband and I were both rudely awoken the next morning by our bowels telling us to run to the bathroom... Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.

Average Thai food. White elephant in the same area has much better food at a better price.

Still, no reason to stay away from here.

Good lunch buffet at a decent price. There is better thai food in Calgary. That said, you won't go wrong stopping in here for a quick lunch when in the area.

Food is okay but not stellar. I have yet to find a really good Thai restaurant in Calgary. The decor is distracting and feels like it belongs in a completely different type of place. Essentially it's all those tacky, trendy, quotes on wood that means you spend more time reading then interacting or eating. Probably won't be coming back. It's not that it was bad just not good enough to return.

One of the more authentic tasting places in Calgary. The food comes quick and hot, but service comes across as uncaring and cold. Don't expect much on that end, but expect tasty food great for sharing!

I have been twice now. Just not great. Sauces are thin, servers seem indifferent and I am pretty sure the hot sauce they brought me had gone bad. Also, their coconut rice has no coconut flavor at all. In fact my friend and I both thought they forgot to give it to us. But they assured us it was coconut rice. One plus is that the food is incredibly fast to come. But now that I think of it that is because the food is just sitting there, pre made...hence their soggy tofu....

Not sure why there are some poor reviews on here. The food tasted excellent, it came out very fast and the server was constantly coming by to refill waters and check on us. I'd come back again

Love Thai, love everything that is Thai! And oh boy this place is good. Reasonably priced, great parking and delightful lunch specials. Beef and Basil is my jam. Lunch gets a bit busy so get there early. Their buffet looks great aswell!
