The Badlands Amphitheatre is an award-winning, non-profit, outdoor theatre, music and event venue in Drumheller, Alberta, in the heart of the Canadian Badlands. Boasting specta...cular scenery and superb acoustics, the amphitheatre has hosted the Badlands Passion Play for the past 25 years, and is an incredible setting for live shows and concerts, including outdoor opera, Blues in the Badlands, classical concerts, an all-ages light and sound show, and a free Movie Under the Stars for families in need.
The amphitheatre is run by a very small crew and over 300 dedicated volunteers. You can help The Badlands Amphitheatre be an ongoing gift to Canada as we work hard to bring incredible events to the heart of the Canadian Badlands.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to Movie Under the Stars (in the Big Tent because of the expected snow).

This event has been moved to Friday, September 21 due to the ❄️ cold weather. We're hoping it will warm up for next Friday and we can all enjoy a Movie Under the Stars at the Forum Theatre - The Badlands Amphitheatre next Friday, September 21!

Thousands of people have come to the amp this weekend to enjoy this show and you have one final chance to see it tonight Sunday September 2nd!
If you are coming to the show, give yourself time to park, get your tickets, listen to some music and grab a drink or a snack. The show starts right at 9 PM so give yourself some time to get to your seat for the start of the light show.

This is a lovely way to see/hear these stories told. Loved being there. If you visit in the day, bring a hat/sunscreen.

So excited about this year. New music, great actors and new costume designer. Gotta come watch.

One of the best concert venues ever, there isn't a bad seat in the house ! Parking was bit bullshitty but not that bad. Already have our tickets for Randy Bachman !!

I have been there 4 times now. It is a great time and location. Someone said that it looks just like the hills in Jerusalem. So it is a very appropriate location for the plays.

I have been involved with the Passion Play for the entire 25 years. sang in the choir till it finished, have volunteered in many phases and am a life member.

I have watched the most important story told in a new and exciting way each time, while still maintaining the truth of the gospel. You will leave this amphitheatre a changed person, better for having seen. This year promises to be bigger and better.

Been there a few times and loved it every time. The actors are great and they surprise you every time with just how much effort and professionalism they put into this. I recommend going for the whole family.

An other worldly experience unlike any other in Canada

A fresh perspective of God's love for me every time I attend. The natural scenery and high caliber acting makes this more than enjoyable. It's an sensory experience that lasts a long while afterwards.

Well organized despite the outrageous parking fee and the physical limitations. I would visit again.
