The Banff Canoe Club

Looking for something fun to do? Rent a Canoe /Kayak or SUP and journey up the beautiful Bow River. No reservations required for rentals.

At the Banff Canoe Club we believe everyone should have access to the wonderfully canadian sport of canoeing! Our goal is to make canoeing an affordable activity so that visitors and residents alike can explore the water.

We are committed to engaging the community in the sport of canoeing and connecting people to Banff National Park.

We rent canoes, kayaks, StandUp Paddleboards (off-site rentals) and cruiser bikes from the canoe docks on the Bow River. Our boat house is stocked with light snacks and Banff Canoe Club Souvenirs.

From the canoe docks, paddlers can explore a gentle stretch of the Bow River or follow forty mile creek into Vermillion Lakes.

We also offer Voyageur Canoe Tours if you're looking to paddle with the whole family. Enjoy the serenity of the Bow River and marvel at your surroundings whilst on this tour. As you journey upstream, our guides will entertain you with stories of the past, history of canoeing and interesting local facts.

All of our rentals and tours include the use of life jackets and paddles.
