We went there last night for my mom 50th and we had are own side room with our own bathroom in it and it was great the staff was friendly and drinks and the food was amazing and seeing the vault downstairs to was so cool my mom loved going there and so did I I will definitely be making the bank and baron one of my places to eat every time I come to Calgary

We went there for the first time a few weeks ago, we loved the atmosphere, food, service and location. On that first visit we saw the ad for Valentines super and decided to make a reservation. It was totally worth i t, great meal for a very reasonable price. We will be back for sure

Super impressed.. We are staying at the Fairmont just a st over and we went for a walk in hopes to find something for supper! We weren't not disappointed to take a seat here! Good beer, great staff & delicious food! Flavourful, hot, prompt and super filling. I couldn't ask for more. Also might I add, the bill wasn't overly steep either. Starter, two meals & 3 drinks would easily cost us more elsewhere. Love the atmosphere, comfortable and welcoming, very pub like feel, clean and appealing surroundings. Loved our experience, we aren't from Calgary, but I'm sure we will venture back someday!!

Not sure if we went to the same place as some of the one star reviews on here because we thought it was great. We were always looked after and with a smile. Good selection of beers and wines, something on offer almost everyday. Food was lovely, served hot, tasty and with a smile from the staff. Good atmosphere, friendly and in a great location.

Not my first time there and won't be my last. A beautiful building, great service and when I was there, Wednesday, 5 buck pints and 25 cent wings. I highly recommend it.

Has a very great atmosphere to it. They have a great selection on food and drinks, the bartenders know there stuff when preparing your kind of drinks. The staff is friendly, and you get a great vibe while being there.

Amazing food and the service was excellent. Was staying at the Fairmont and wanted and cheaper than $40 a plate meals. I had the fish and chips. Let me tell you I'm from the east coast and was raised by a fishermens daughter so I'm pretty picky when it comes to fish. I was blown away from right from the portion size, to the flavour. Even the tartar sauce was amazing. The beer battered fries were a nice touch. Definitely have to check this place out ��

But was disappointed on St. Patrick's Day as I made a reservation a month in advance for 14 ppl and the weekend before I asked if I can increase it to 25 (more business!) and they said no problem. I get to Bank and Baron the next day and found out they gave us a table for TWELVE people not 25. I asked to speak to the manager and this woman with red hair was a bit short and rude to me. Told me I said that I wouldn't have all my party there on time so they took away some of my tables. I was not happy..first of all they did not let me know that and second you can cut my tables by half assuming that only 12 would show up. I tried to explain this to her but she pretty much brushed it off telling me that people could stand right next to the table. So I had to tell one of my friends who was helping me set it up and he had to tell her we need the tables by 8pm.

We had to get up to get refills of our own waters and when finished our drink our server said to us "so you want your bills" when we tried to order a second drink. We brought up our concerns to our server Allie and she made excuses stating she had a busy birthday table beside us.

After waiting few minutes, I finally saw the server and asked her, if there is any available table where we can sit and continue our rest of the evening? she replied me, for next 30 minutes or so it’s hard to get any table because of the customer’s reservations. I requested her, please let us know, if any table became available any time soon?

With the help of the bartender within 10 min we could get a table. After moving into the table, we waited for the server and she came after 30 minutes to check on us. We ordered another round of the beers and wings. Here we go again, we waited for our order to arrive   and it took long.

My friends were pissed with the service, however we all works in hospitality and we all know sometimes some unwanted situations. I ordered another beer for myself and I guess server forget my order and I waited almost 30 minutes, after losing my patience, I went myself to the bar counter and ordered my drink.



Over all great looking restaurant with lots of potential, however, management need to focus to improve their service time. Food and price was reasonable.

As he was walking towards the other patrons I asked "why?" Then he poorly and rather rudely explained and gave recommendations not even slightly comparable to the beer he was initially interested in.

I would have paid for my drink and left immediately if boyfriend didn't order a snack when we were greeted.

I did not feel like a valued guest or customer in this establishment I felt more like a burden.

#BankAndBaron i came here to relax and try their food (rib) before going home after a long and tiring day... It took me 30 minutes and i have to do follow ups just to get my food and someone who works here told me that Fridays would took time before getting my food. Suddenly, the manager politely approached me and said that my order was lost at the kitchen and it was served not-so-hot-but-a-bit-cold-rib. The taste should be great if it was served hot and not too oily. I understand that Fridays are critical time for people who works here, but its not an excuse for you and keep your customers waiting for their food that was lost at their kitchen. They're sorry for what happened and I'm a bit surprised that the food was already paid. Thats a good intervention. As a conclusion, As a second-timer here, i must say that they're not consistent in service, I've tried different food here, their pizza during Thursdays was phenomenal, their wines are great! The managers action is just right, but, i dont think i would come back again next friday, maybe some other day but not definitely during fridays #thoughts #restaurant #yyc #calgary #foodservice

Your restaurant requires female servers to wear high heels. If you require a similarly uncomfortable wardrobe element for your male staff, or can convince me beyond a reasonable doubt that this is a choice of your female staff and not a requirement, I'll retract my review.

When you can't tell if you're being served by the bartender or the server you know you're going to have a bad time. The food was good but nobody asked us so obviously nobody cares. There's nothing worse than not knowing who your server is until they stand there awkwardly and silent while you pay at the end.

Second time I'd been there. Absolutely terrible service (both times), and it's not like the place was busy. People in our group had basically given up on our server and ordered straight from the bar, since our waitress was unfriendly and kept forgetting our drink orders. Definitely will not be returning.

It took me 30 minutes and i have to do follow ups just to get my food and someone who works here told me that Fridays would took time before getting my food. Suddenly, the manager politely approached me and said that my order was lost at the kitchen and it was served not-so-hot-but-a-bit-cold-rib. The taste should be great if it was served hot and not too oily. I understand that Fridays are critical time for people who works here, but its not an excuse for you and keep your customers waiting for their food that was lost at their kitchen. They're sorry for what happened and I'm a bit surprised that the food was already paid. Thats a good intervention. As a conclusion, As a second-timer here, i must say that they're not consistent in service, I've tried different food here, their pizza during Thursdays was phenomenal, their wines are great! There's nothing worse than not knowing who your server is until they stand there awkwardly and silent while you pay at the end.

Second time I'd been there. Absolutely terrible service (both times), and it's not like the place was busy. People in our group had basically given up on our server and ordered straight from the bar, since our waitress was unfriendly and kept forgetting our drink orders. Definitely will not be returning.

Horrible place!!!!!! My family and I made a reservation here for 10 people on open table last night. We walked for a half hour to get here only to find out that they don't take kids at the restaurant. The waitress at the front, couldn't have been ruder!!! Do not go to this place!!!!! Their website, suggesting that they are a historical establishment full of history and culture with a fabulous restaurant facility, couldn't be further from the truth. The place looks dark and dodgy and the professionalism is inexcusable! Do not waste your time walking here!!!!!
