A great selection of wines and scotches! The service was fantastic. Highly recommended place for a fancy night out.

I had never heard of this place but bought a Groupon for it. The prices are fair and the food is EXCELLENT! I was d.d. so no whisky for me but my boyfriend tried a few different ones. We don't know much about whisky but the chart on their menu helped to pick brands with a flavor profile he would like. The waitress was very friendly but not intrusive. Cozy environment and wasn't very busy. This place is definitely a hidden gem and I will absolutely go back.

We consistently have a great experience at The Bothy. The room is cozy and casual, but even when packed still comfortable. The service is fantastic: they're extremely knowledgable about the wines, spirits and food available but not pretentious... you really feel like a guest in their home. The Scotch selection is second to none (try a flight!), their wine is varied and plentiful and the food is generally very good (particularly the charcuterie plates). I highly recommend The Bothy for a romantic night out or for time with a group of friends.

Don't tell anyone how great this place is. Brilliant whiskey selection, of course, but also the menu and service will keep you coming back time and again. It's a small room, though - so again - don't tell anyone about it.

The Bothy is great for every occasion; from a celebratory dinner to a low-key comfortable place to relax and have a glass of wine. Our waitress was attentive, helpful, and provided excellent service. The food is the reason I keep going back. The chicken is addictive with sweet smokiness and the spare ribs were cooked to perfection. If anything, go for the delicious and perfect cinnamon buns.The warm and cosy atmosphere of the restaurant elevates the experience.

I had the smoked chicken. It was full of flavour. The whiskey and the smokey flavour was something I've never tried before it was awesome. The service was fast and friendly.

What's happening here? Flies and smells
It used to be amazing here....But they haven't changed their drink menu since the opened...As a scotch bar...Shouldn't you take pride in what you're making available ??Also pretty sure they haven't rotated their 'fancy' wines' by the glass in well over a year. What the point of having the fancy vacuum system if you never use it.
Then the last time I was in (5days ago). It smelled burnt in the air and you could visibky see fruit flies, so they're obviously not cleaning well.
Pretty sure I attribute this to the fact that the only time I ever see the owner is when he brings over a case of liquor from the store next door and the proceedes to take up space at a bar stool all night. Grab a cloth...Maybe do something. Set an example. Just saying.

I went here for a birthday and ordered the steak and mushroom pie. It came out completely burnt. By the time the waitress came to check on us everyone else was already done eating. She did ask if I wanted them to remake it, however I didnt want the whole table to sit and wait any longer as the pie takes time to make. After checking with the kitchen she told me there was a pie that was ready to go if I wanted. The second pie was just as burnt and completely stuck to the pan it was in (the first one i received did not come in a pie pan, it was just on a plate).
