Beautiful atmosphere with great service. Menu is small but the entrees were fantastic, even a special request was handled perfectly.

The Carmichael is no longer here. The owners of that restaurant sold the space earlier this year and it has since re-opened as "1912 Inglewood Dining and Attic Lounge." So if you're looking for this place on OpenTable or Yelp, best to look for that.

What A Night!!!!
Please read our story – I think you’ll find it fascinating. Where to start – hmmmm! It was Adrienne’s birthday on Friday, March 25, 2016. She wanted to go to Jacqueline Suzanne’s, also known as The Carmichael, in Inglewood. I phoned about two weeks in advance to reserve her favourite table for 7:45. Then on Thursday evening, March 24th I received a phone call from a young lady who said the restaurant was going to close on the 25th as it was Good Friday and we were the only reservation. She offered me the same table on Saturday evening but I said I would have to find another restaurant as we wanted to celebrate on the 25th. About a half hour later, my phone rang. It was John, the manager, who said they would be willing to open the restaurant on Friday, the 25th, just for us, but asked if we could come in a bit early. I quickly agreed to the offer.
On the 25th we arrived at 7:00, John met us at the door, and we entered an empty restaurant. Then he locked the door and put out the “closed” sign. He offered us any table in the restaurant so we chose the cozy, romantic table right in the front window (which is now Adrienne’s favourite table!!!). Now just to let you know the kind of service we experienced, John next asked us what kind of music we would enjoy. Adrienne selected her favourite music and John found it on his phone and played it throughout the restaurant. And since we were alone, we were able to enjoy several dances in the aisle between the tables. It was so much fun!
Then to top that, I expected that there would be a limited menu since they were providing a very unique service for just two people, but I was wrong. We were offered the full menu! Naturally Adrienne chose the Roasted Rack of Lamb and I chose the Creole Jambalaya. The food, prepared by Chef Josh, was excellent, absolutely excellent. Everything we ate, from the appetizers to the main course to the deserts was superb. And the service, of course, was definitely a “once in a lifetime” memory maker!
So needless to say, any restaurant and its employees who would go to these lengths to provide an incredible service like this definitely deserve more than 5 stars. The experience provided us by John and Josh was way beyond anyone’s expectations of a birthday dinner. It will be a cherished memory for both of us forever and we would both highly recommend The Carmichael to anyone who wants excellent food and beyond excellent service.

And a short p.s. – I must apologize to Suzanne, John and Josh for being tardy with my review. Procrastination seems to have become a feature of my retirement! It was an incredible evening in all respects and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the memory they provided.

I have been going to The Carmichael for over 10 years now. Formerly known as Jacqueline Suzanne's , the food has remained consistently good. Their signature dish is the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Anyone who has attempted to make Yorkshire pudding knows how difficult it can be, but they pull it off week after week.
Watch out for their Wine night, when wine prices are slashed allowing you to buy a little bit nicer bottle at a lot cheaper price.
The decor is unique. From the pressed tin ceilings to the hardwood floors, this place drips atmosphere and history. If you are lucky the player piano will be belting out old tunes .
A great place for couples or for bringing out of town guests, you won;t be disappointed.
