We will be featuring a local talent for Midnight Madness and Santa Claus Day Parade! Angela Suntjens Raised on a farm in central Alberta. Worked and learned to appreciate working with metal from my grandfather who’s family homesteaded. Welded with my dad growing up. I was always in the shop “helping”. I moved to Southern Alberta 15 years ago to attend trade school. I worked for years as a structural and heavy duty welder before pursuing a dual degree in Psychology and Philoso...phy. I am completing my Masters and have been accept for my PhD. This year I also realized one of my dreams and opened my own fabrication and welding shop; Dryland Custom Fabrication. My art ranges from very industrial and highly functional pieces made from finds like CP rail spikes or old ornate fence pieces I find at the Collective. I also hand-cut, hand-file and hand paint scenes on sheetmetal with oil paint. I am lucky enough to reside alongside the Oldman River where I weld, and think, most of my days away.
