The Commons is Calgary's private lifestyle work collective. It is a carefully designed work environment tailored to the requisites of local innovators, small businesses and inspired individuals.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
A perfectly equipped environment tailored to the needs of the modern-day entrepreneur. Desk space, private offices, private and semi-private meeting rooms, event venues, and a community of phenomenal entrepreneurs - all in one stylish space.
WHO USES OUR SPACE?
We have a wide variety of members we affectionally call ‘The Commoners’ who are, ironically, quite uncommon. They are members of our community who share a drive to establish their businesses, a need to re-define work to reflect their identity, a collective playful sense of the unconventional, and a longing to create a sense of community at work.
WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
A stone's throw away from Calgary's iconic Inglewood, The Commons is nestled along the historic Alyth locomotive crossing as part of The Ramsay Design Centre. A five-minute commute to The Core and central to many of our city's major arteries, we are proud to call this neck of the woods our home.

The Commons is incredible. A special piece of Calgary's history that has been beautifully updated to our modern expectations. The staff is fabulous and a pleasure to work with. I love working at The Commons and after experiencing multiple events here, I recommend it as a premier location for any event.
The Commons is a beautiful, eclectic, creative and vibrant place. It is run so well - everything you need is there including supportive Commoners and fantastic events like yoga, meditation, movie days and crokinole. Simply the best.
The Commons has been an amazing non-profit and community partner for Breaking Free Foundation, being a beautiful space for our meet-ups. But now as a Commoner and member of their co-working space, I get to really reap the rewards of the amazing community there. The space is gorgeous, yes. But the real appeal are the people and the opportunities to flourish your business and establish great connections. Highly recommend this place as a place to call home for your business or to host your next event at!

I was recently hired to facilitate a full day 2015 planning session - my client rented space at The Commons.
I really was blown away by the creative use of space and privacy available for the planning day. The owners (Erynn & Zach) were first class and accommodating, and I could see multiple options for anyone looking for their own co-working space - something for everyone.
If you're business needs a place to call home with out all the red tape and commitment, I highly recommend The Commons with full confidence. Zach and Erynn were a pleasure to work with.
