The paper wrote an article on a mma fighter having a disease called nmo. The writer called it a form of MS. It is a separate disease altogether. I emailed the writer and never got a response. Do your research first as it makes the paper and the writer look foolish. It is also disrespectful to those who have the disease like myself

Canada’s answer to Fox News honestly. Gunter is Canada’s answer to Hannity minus the conspiracy theory peddling consistency we re accustom to with the Fox news host. Essentially the suns business model is to pander to their base by pushing ideologies and sensationalized tabloid style news articles rather than reporting the facts in an ethical manner. That all being said I will say that with such a bleak review the suns sports section is excellent

You are a joke. A disease to journalism, and anyone that happens to read this piece of trash.

User

To be frank I think this paper is a rag. It has very little in the way of substance and comes off more as a scare-mongering tabloid than any credible source of news. As my own theory, I think that Rachel Notley must have turned Lorne Gunther down for a date in the past - He comments on her so much that it comes off as one-sided infatuation.

This is the worst news paper. I can't believe people pay for this. The only thing worse than the sun is the Rebel. Y'all should be ashamed.

The article about ELIZABETH May should have read : '

Elizabeth May is the Howard Stern of politics'

'Thank God we have a politician with a backbone running for PM'

'A woman who isn't afraid to speak against injustice'

Instead you belittled her. She has fought to be in the debates, she wasn't just sitting there quietly in the corner waiting for an invite.

She is going to blow the ass kissing conservative lovers out of the water. Which I am sure will be great for your chauvinists writers looking to throw a quick article together about just how controversial Mrs. May is.

And if you do a little background research on her you will find she is tirelessly working for a better Canada. And what the Sun doing? Cutting her down.

The Donald Draper era is over. Get a clue.

The Edmonton Sun is by no means a publication that I would read if I were looking for quality journalism, but this is a new low, even for you. To present the rape of a man by his female partner in such a light tone with a joking headline is beyond disgusting. The stigma regarding rape, particularly for men, already deters countless survivors from reporting their assaults. All you have done is prove to other men who have not reported their assaults that no one will take them seriously and that they will be mocked. Whoever wrote that piece is vile, and whoever approved it is worse.

Since originally posting this last week, one of her neighbors was nice enough to bring her the paper since he was already downstairs/outside looking for his in his wheelchair...

I'm sorry that I have to do this here but your website will only accept a shorter message in the 'contact us' area and it still has not linked our print account and web accounts properly to allow a sign in that would take us to an area that this would fit in.

So, here goes.

To Whom it may concern.

Over the past month and a week (since October 1, 2016) my 85 year old mother has had the value of her weekly Sunday Newspaper print subscription reduced to worthless while a recent price increase announcement has left her wondering what she is paying for.

She lives in a Seniors Apartment that locks it's doors at 10:00PM every night and unlocks them at 6:30 am every morning, resulting in a scenario where persons with mobility issues have to leave

their apartments when it is Dark, cold, possibly slippery and Dangerous (hence the locking of the doors) to look for their paper outside (if it is even there).

When she first subscribed, at a much more affordable rate, the paper was delivered inside the building and to each subscribers door. Since the announcement of the price increase She has to go

downstairs (with a walker) to look where the paper was left outside.

She was given the excuse "the driver can't access the building because they have no key".

Well, the building owners have not only assured us that the key would be made available to a bonded driver but that the timeframe in which the building is locked is standard in the industry for most apartment buildings, seniors facilities or not.

She was told (by you) that it was impossible to make sure all drivers are bonded and that it was impossible to tell the drivers to deliver after the building is accessible...

It's 2016 in Alberta. People are losing everything/will take any work and you actually have the gall to suggest that it is impossible to tell your employees to do their jobs the way you want them to or hire trustworthy drivers? Seriously?

It is completely unacceptable that your business can demand more money then claim that you cannot find a way to adapt to the new reality. People are downsizing all over. Apartment occupancy is on

the rise. Crime is up and buildings all over are adopting the same methods by locking down the buildings at certain times and you expect to plead for more money with diminished services in that

climate?

I am shocked that no-one has brought this to the media, except that since you are the (traditional)

media...

Sincerely,

Keith Pears

Picked up the Sun today. What's with the 'Sunshine Girl' pin up?? Is that supposed to qualify as journalism? Thought I'd get caught up with world news not transported get back in time...

User

Not that I hate the Edmonton Sun, because I don’t! But I called then about a month ago to tell them there was a broken into Sun box dumped in our alley! The only line I could get through to was the news line! I left a message with the address of where it is, but a month later, it is still here! In the alley!

User

Mostly opinionated and biased hot garbage.

User

Lorne Gunter. Friend of rebel “media”. That is all.

User

Just recently posted an article joking about a man who was raped while being threatened with a machete. What kind of journalism is this? In wake of the #metoo movement, you have the guile to promulgate something this vile!?!

Absolutely fucking disgusting!

User

If you want movie star gossip...read the Edmonton Sun; if you want at least a modicum of news...read the Calgary Sun. If you want to find out what's open on Canada Day in Toronto....read the Edmonton Sun, even if you don't care what happens in Toronto and most likely abhor anything that has to do with Toronto

User

I won't support a news paper that supports raping men, and thinks it's funny. If a woman was threatened with a machete and raped would you have written the same article? Furthermore whoever wrote that article needs some mental health and to find a new profession. And the editor who let that into the paper needs to be fired. This is not acceptable in any way shape or form. I hope non of you ever have children in that situation or friends or family. I bet you would think laugh then. This paper has no compassion. I hope whoever this happened to sues your ass off.

User

I just read the article "dr david dao the united passenger bloodied and dragged off flight is a poker playing doc with a sordid past". It's garbage. There's no reason why this man's name had to be dragged through the mud. He is a victim of assault, and your journalist decides to air all of his dirty laundry for what.....? It has no relevance to what happened on United Airlines.

You are as bad as tabloids / click-bait and I hope you get sued for defamation!
