Mission: Inspire Canadian women & girls to courageously lead change contributing to a society without boundaries for women, in the spirit of the Famous 5.
The Famous 5 Foundation Description
Our programs are centred towards women leaders of today and tomorrow.
Our Legacy programs feature The Enbridge Famous 5 Speakers Series Luncheons and our Remarkable Leaders Workshops, as well as other networking and mentorship opportunities for women.
For our future leaders, we have created a web-based Famous 5 Curriculum for educators in partnership with Alberta Heritage. We also run annual youth award programs to recognize and engage the leaders of tomorrow. We also offer "The Power of You" workshop in partnership with GirlPower to girls aged 7-12 who come to us through the Boys & Girls Club of Calgary.
The Foundation also works to commemorate and spread awareness of the accomplishments of the Famous 5. This has included the creation of larger-than-life bronze monuments at Olympic Plaza in Calgary and on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, a Famous 5 Millennium postage stamp and a 'Nation Builders' $50 bill.
