The Glencoe Club

Excellent sports club with an extremely long waiting list. There is a good variety of sports activities, children's play areas, and both cafeteria and table service food options.

Members only. Great facility for dining, sports and to bring guests

The downtown Glencoe Club is only useful if you were raised playing tennis, figure skating or live close by. They shut down the gym for a couple of years for renovations and when it reopened there was an additional studio for paid classes, but the gym equipment was pushed together really tight and is so crowded it is impractical. Not really what you would expect from a high end club.

Then they renovated the outdoor pool. They made a big patio and added a kids water slide. Now the pool is so cluttered that there is limited room for members and now they have an hours long wait list to get into the outdoor pool. But they did spend a lot of money to make it look pretty.

It looks nice but the Glencoe Club is a lot of window dressing and offers little substance. It is a club where you feel that the members are an inconvenience. Definitely not worth the money.

I was here as a guest for a friend's birthday. Amazing place. A lot of facilities, the pools look amazing.

Very nice. Great food

I have been a member all my life and there are definitely some nice things about the club, but unfortunately the current board and management seems bent on chronic renovations and overcharging for virtually all services. Worse yet, each renovation seems to be more tasteless than the last and creates gross inconvenience for the members. I understand that the next "improvement" we have to look forward to is the overhaul cafeteria for another shocking price tag.

We're not members but always have a great time when we get invited. The kids especially love the bowling alley! In the summer, you can't beat the restaurant's patio.
