You be the judge..

If your vehicle is damaged by the products or merchandising displays from a retail outlet that your visiting would you think they would be responsible?
No fault of your own. Except that your shopping at there store.

Well Home Depot doesn't see it that way...

"Act of God". The wind was strong that day!
"We are not responsible for what happens in our parking lot".
We "Do our Best" to secure our displays.
"We deny liability"
"We won't cover your expense."

These are irresponsible statements from a Big Box retailer that wants consumers to grace there door ways with your wallet in hand to spend in there stores.

Be careful when your there, look out for what may come your way, it's a vehicle this time, it could be worse, you your significant other or your children.

They are running away from there responsibility but you don't have to spend your money there.

So what do you think? Should they be responsible?

Feel Free to share and ask others..

It's the Christmas season. We have choices.

Great service in every location I've been to. Always greeted, even once from the parking lot. The woman in the paint department tonight was extremely helpful and very friendly. Going to always go to Home Depot first from now on, thank you for the kindness and consistency!

My husband and I purchased 2 special order exterior doors (roughly $3000). After putting them in, we bought one handle/lock set and had it set for our keys. We found that we needed a new lock set for the other door later on and when I bought it the store was about to close so I chose to return the next day to set the locks. When I returned the next day to get the lock tumbled. I was TOLD by the fellow in that department he WON'T do that. I mentioned that I had just bought it the night before and had a receipt to prove it. His response was "I..WILL...NOT... do it. If you want this done, you bring back the entire package and buy a new set and THEN I will do it." So you know, I returned the locks, bought new ones at another store and if we hadn't already put the doors up I would have taken them back too. I expect to be treated with some respect and hope that you pass that along to your staff.

Been waiting for 15 minutes thus far after one employee called for aid in retrieving a top shelf item.
Update: waited 20 minutes and was told it's "too late". The managers need to improve staff.

Great store. Most of you need to do your research before you shop and stop crying like babies. Can't walk in expecting the world to bow down to you.

Walked into Home Depot, went to the flooring section to look at sheet vinyl. There was no tag on the sheet we liked so we went to look for an associate. They only had 2 associates in flooring to help, both were busy. I went to an employee wearing a polo shirt, they said they couldn't help because they're not an associate and to wait until they're available. We sat and waited for 30 mins until someone came around. You need to hire more associates. 30 minute wait is rediculous. Was about to go to a different store

I found customer service to be very helpful in assisting me with my specific needs. The staff made me confident that a big box store in the city can bring an element of small town friendliness and familiarity to me, the customer.

Great stuff... staff not so much. I wouldn't say they were rude, they just do not approach you or initiate service. They just stand there looking at you--- probably hoping we don't ask for their help. You have to do everything yourself. Forget about asking them for advice, you're better off asking Google. But they have everything you need, if you know what you are looking for.

This is my place to go for anything in need to repair pr replace at home. I have had very positive experience shopping here. I'm surprised at how knowledgeable the staff are! I'm very pleased to shop here and love to find good deals!

Place is a joke. They claim to price match, went in with a flyer from Lowes for 10% refused to honour it. Saw a wheel barrow outside priced at 84.99 with no mention of extra costs, after it was rung through I saw an add on of 11$ for assembly. I asked what that was about she said you have to pay for it to be assembled, I politely asked for one in a box instead she said nope we put them all together... so what wouldn't you advertise the price with the 11$
Already added on? False advertising. Then I mentioned Lowes assembled for free cashier said go to Lowes then. So take her advice and GO TO LOWES! Will never spend another penny with Home Depot. Will also be returning my 600$ paint sprayer now.

Don't take the advice of most staff here just a dead end job for most they don't care. best to google research most projects and call the city for proper info.
