We wanted to select a hardwood floor design for our house and didn't know which one to pick. Susan at the flooring and decor section eagerly helped us through the process, and she was clearly very knowledgeable about the subject. She patiently guided us until finally we decided on our favourite design (tried it in the living room and we absolutely love it!). We are always pleased with the quality of customer service at this location, and will definitely come back again in the future!

I appears that a little bit of snow and a little bit of below freezing weather shuts down the equipment rentals. There are no rational reasons that I can imagine for doing this. The guy at the tool rental desk said "They are all frozen up.", but this type of equipment is more than capable of running in -10C weather and a little lock de-icer would solve their "the locks are frozen" issue (which is probably BS anyway as is hasn't been warm enough since the snow for the snow to melt and create ice on/in the locks.) At least now I know what kind of operation they are running and I won't ever plan on using their equipment again.

It has turned into RONA where you can't find anything due to the fact that the shelves are stocked in a ramshackle way and good luck finding someone to help you.

It used to be a decent place to go, now it just seems to be staffed with the lazy.

Anywhere you google says dog friendly, brought myu dog all summer... No issues what so ever. Turned away today because one lady decided it was a policy change today due to "allergies"
That would make sense in a department store sure, but this is a hardware store!!! Wood dust, drywall dust, concrete dust, chemicals, plants....do I need to continue? Allergies.
I will not set foot in another home depot.

Very good service. I was the guy that made then open a new bundle for more straight 2x4's. Gotta hate those guys. But the staff put up with it well. Will buy here again!
Sorry staff..

I called to check on trailer availability at the beacon hill location. The lady at the customer service desk said nobody was available in the tool department. I asked if she was able to check the parking lot as that's where they store the trailers. She refused. Saying that I would have to drive up myself to check for availability and then hung up on me. The customer service was terrible! Nobody wants to do their job these days. How is it acceptable to ask me to drive across the city to check availability when she is right there??!!

The service I got from Bob in the plumbing section was just amazing. His knowledge on the sprinklers gave me a education on setting up the yard. I went to country hill location and the plumber there didn't have a clue of what he was talking about, it cost me more for my 1 st system in labour and travel cost that I was going to try and find somewhere else to purchase a system. Great job Bob and it was faster then the 1st system. They should educate more of there employees on what they are selling. My confidence is coming back in Home Depot.

Went in today to get some parts to hang our sons swing and they were out of the part that we needed. Bill and Mike were AMAZINGLY helpful and went through 2 pallets of parts to find the one we needed so we didn't have to go to another store ( since we live out of town) best customer service we have had by far and it was thanks to these two gentlemen working there. Helpful and extremely friendly

Thanks again.

All of the staff are amazing. I never had any better customer service anywhere in Canada. Each department dealt and explained me like no one did. Helped me pick up things and provided different options. Have me better deals and told me about promotions which helped me purchase things accordingly. I am impressed with customer services.

We purchased a 22 cu ft Frigidaire chest freezer at HD on Sarcee Trail NW in Calgary. In our case, our purchase was mainly driven by immediate need for a replacement freezer but also was based on price. Frigidaire was better on both counts. HD chooses not to stock this freezer as a floor model and we had to rely on the sales associate and HD's website info on this product. We were most concerned with the dimensions of the unit since it had to fit through two 30" doorways in our house and navigate twisting basement stairs.

The unit's dimensions on HD's website are almost completely wrong and of course we relied on this information being correct in making our purchase decision. That said, it is not entirely the fault of HD in that I double-checked the dimensions with Frigidaire and even they supplied me with incorrect information. This incorrect info led to significant difficulty in moving the unit into our house including the need to remove the freezer's lid/door (and of course re-install it). Fortunately, HD retains highly skilled appliance movers who, in addition to being very capable, were very patient while I removed the door.

HD followed up with me twice on our purchase and overall, their customer service has been excellent. However, they must work more closely with manufacturers to ensure that essential decision-making information on their website is complete and accurate.

Bought a keypad lock. Got it home. Missing parts and PAINT on it. Come on Home Depot! Isn't it illegal to pull this stuff? If it's returned you have to mark it as "open box" and hopefully discount it. Get back to the store and I'm looking at a huge lineup. I don't have time for your games.

Dayna, I applaud you on your stand of never leaving your puppy in a hot vehicle. Thank God there are people such as you who care about their precious pets. At this rate, I would not be surprised if they tell us to leave newborn babies outside, considering a pet **is** certainly a member of the family.

Regarding the ludicrous Home Depot stand, since they have someone sitting at the entrance doing diddly squat all day, and getting paid for it,. Home Depot should have the good sense to allow you to tether your pet next to this person, who can watch him while you spend money in the store. A blanket pet prohibition policy on the part of a company such as HD is silly, counterproductive, and harsh.
