The Juniper is known for having stunning mountain views, but why not take your sightseeing to an even higher level with our 'Banff From Above' package, which includes tickets for the Mt. Norquay Banff sightseeing chairlift. You’ll glide up the mountain side in an open-air chair, passing over grizzly and black bear habitat, finally arriving at over 7,000 ft above sea level. There you’ll find awe-inspiring views, an interpretive walkway, and refreshments on offer at the Cliff House Bistro. It’s an unmissable Banff experience, located only minutes from the hotel. https://thejuniper.com/rooms/#packages-li nk Photo via Mount Norquay Banff

You will never go wrong with food at this place!!!Most fancy restaurants in Alberta can't compete with chef who is working @Juniper Bistro!!! 120% the best food is here because the best chef is working here( I dont know the chef in person, but his food is saying everything).

User

Wonderful time at this gorgeous and unique hotel. Brought our daughter named Juniper and have to thank Kendall from the front desk for helping make it extra special for us. Amazing place and people

User

What a gem just outside Banff - the rooms are clean, the hotel is peaceful and quiet and boasts beautiful serene views from the delicious bistro. The customer service has been wonderful as well! We will be back!

User

There is nothing I would change about our six day stay at the Juniper. The location is perfect distance from everything and it made a great home base to travel from and explore. The staff is so kind, the suite is huge and the fireplace so cozy — the view is incredible and the food is some of the finest meals we’ve ever eaten with such complex and bright flavor combinations. All around amazing stay.

User

Stayed at this hotel 3 times, our first stay being back in 2010. Still as amazing service as the first time.

We've eaten at the restaurant on those stays and the food and service is amazing.

User

Our family had dinner at the Juniper for our son’s 33rd Birthday and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! The food was amazing and Ben our waiter was terrific in every way!! The view from the restaurant is spectacular you couldn’t ask for a better evening!! I recommend eating there when u r here in Banff, I know we will be back and we live in Banff lol

User

On our recent trip to Banff and Jasper we hopped around hotels. The Juniper was definitely our favorite and we decided this is where we would stay if we ever returned. We had a mountain side room on the first floor. the 2nd floor has true balconys that we didn't have but it didn't bother us much since the hot tub was just 2 rooms down from us so it was an easy run over. Hot tub was a little small and really only comfortably fits one group of people but again that didn't bother us since we were the only ones in it when we were there. bike rentals were only $10/day so it was WAY cheaper than other hotels or rentals from town. It took us a simple 5 minute bike to get to town. The hotel and views are GORGEOUS!!!! We ate a dinner and a breakfast meal at the bistro and their food was one of the best that we had!!!! I had the stuffed French toast and it was delicious as well as the lingcod for dinner and it was also very good. So impressed with this hotel.

June 22, 2017.. Why I gave it a 5* star.. it was a momentous occasion for my nephew and niece from Australia, it was their 10th wedding anniversary and their birthdays at the same day so we booked a space at Juniper base on all the reviews. Well, it was as the reviews said.. from the service we received, the pleasant atmosphere, the host at the front for his brilliant idea of a surprise birthday and anniversary wish display on plates, and the food!!!! melt in your mouth... for its quaintness .. the quality sure is above and beyond .. on top of that.. the spectacular view of the mountains and sunset.. it's our new discovery and will definitely share with everyone.

User

I live in the Bow Valley and like going to The Juniper restaurant as it is one of the rare restaurants with a great view of the mountains. I dropped in last night and had a lovely meal in a quiet atmosphere with a roaring fire. The Juniper has a new chef and the plates looked beautiful and tasted fabulous. I don’t understand why this restaurant isn’t packed, I guess as it’s away from the melee of downtown Banff (at the foot of the road to Mount Norquay) that people just aren’t aware of it.

User

Beautiful hotel! Wish we had stayed here. We went to breakfast and it was delicious. If you’re in Banff, this is a must to try out for breakfast. The views are spectacular and the service is impeccable. It’s secluded and surrounded by nature. I especially liked getting away from the hubbub of the town. But it’s close enough to the town if you need to. There is also free WiFi and free parking! I’m going to stay here next time!

User

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the mountains and the staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the hotel and Banff. Was our first time staying here but compared to the other places we've stayed in Banff The Juniper will be the hotel we will be returning to for our future visits to Banff.

User

Beautiful food - fine dining and amazing cocktails without a heavy price tag, loved it here!

User

Awesome Christmas brunch! Beautiful view, great service. Will be back for an evening dining experience one day!

User

Always when I stay in Banff this is where I stay all staff here are really friendly it's right close to my norquay and out of Banff center away from traffic you will never go wrong and for how big and nice the rooms are you are paying so little

User

Absolutely great place, super excellent food. Super team. Had breakfast there (very nice team!!) and decided to come back for dinner also. Were served by André Ann and colleagues. Had the chance to meet the chef and say thank you for the excellent dinner we had.

Enjoyed our stay visiting Banff. Thank you very much. Will definitely come back, promised!

User

Special dinner in July with family. The view- spectacular. The food- even more spectacular ( thank you chef!) The staff - very friendly. The service - disappointing. the waiter was nowhere to be seen for most of the night. I would recommend eating inside for dinner too,the mosquitos nearly ruined our experience. Would I recommend this restaurant ? DEFINITELY It was the best food I've eaten in Banff. Delicious!

User

Not too shabby at all! Not exactly the quietest place though. You can hear absolutely everything through the walls. The highway is very close so you can hear that at all hours as well. The location of the highway is certainly not the hotels fault though! The beds a VERY comfortable and the room was immaculate. Could benifit from some upgraded shower fixtures though. The hot tub, however small, was a GREAT way to end the day. Great views from the tub and the mountain facing rooms as well.

User

My wife and I booked a second floor deluxe king room. The rooms themselves are small and the hot tub is as well. The food is what really makes this a great experience. Every single course along with excellent service really made our stay pleasant.

User

Critically acclaimed Juniper Bistro is one of the West Coasts best restaurants, supposedly. The food is nice, unfortunately service couldn't keep up to the task. The front definitely needs improving. And here is a suggestion for the head chef: if I have to pay extra for a serving of bread (when ordering soup I expect bread to be served along, no questions asked), I expect the butter that goes with it to be smearable and not rock solid frozen out of the freezer!
