The Keg

My wife and I were in Calgary for our 43rd wedding anniversary. We were treated like a million bucks. Special shout out to Brittany Ferguson and our waiter Jacob for outstanding service. Thanks for enhancing our special evening.

Lounge service was fantastic! During happy hour they have killer home made potato chips! It does get busy, so leave work early to get in and start drinking (just don’t let your boss know... unless they’re with you;)

One full star removed from this review because of the lighting. Seriously. It's offensively dark in this place. I don't know what sort of ambience they're going for, but it's unsettling. I actually felt like asking our server if they could turn the lights up a bit. Anyway, I had a steak salad and it was really, really good. The prices here are too high for what you get, though. This place wants to compete with Earl's and Joey's, but it doesn't. Its quality is a notch lower, its ambience is several notches lower, and its pricing is right on par. The Keg needs to up its game to compete.

Really enjoy the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. Nice quiet location for a business lunch.

The best service I have ever had at any restaurant. All the staff was amazing, quick to attend to any question or request I had. Never had to track them down. Very polite and always had a smile. And that's exactly the experience I needed! Keep up the good work guys and gals 👍

By far the best restaurant I went to. First off, I love how fast & easy it was to book online for my husband and I. We ordered Salad to start and they were kind enough to split it among the two of us (& so larger quantities in separate bowls!) Without us asking. Second we both ordered the amazingly delicious Fillet Mignon and we asked that the bacon be removed. A few minutes later the manager herself showed up and said she was aware of our deitary restriction and not only will she make sure bacon is removed but to also cook it separate from any possible pork contamination by other dishes and steaks. We were heavily touched by the gesture. They went beyond our expectation and we will definitely be back! Amazing and kind service as well ( we had Mark D.)! Very great experience overall. It's awesome to know they maintain great communication between the guests, servers & top management. Impressed!

This is my first time here and I was impressed with the service and quality of food. The only downside was that we had a table of four sit next to us and they had brought along a dog with them, which was sitting on one of the child's lap eating food from their plate. Not a great look.

Service was good, they were in the middle of switching to new beers and so they didn't have what I asked for three times in a row but the manager did well and came apologized, and got us a round on the house. I was pretty disappointed that they didn't have any local beer on tap.

When our steaks came mine was either the wrong cut or not a very nice baseball cut, it was also not Chicago medium rare. We were a two table group, maybe I'm being too hard, I just couldn't justify a 4. I'd definitely give it another chance.

Great food! Good ambiance. Not too busy. Great server staff.

My wife and I went for an early lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was fairly empty when we were there. My experience has generally been when a restaurant is slow so is the service. Nope, service was great and our meals were delicious.

Funny, vibrant atmosphere. Food is always good as is the service. Been here several times and never been disappointed.

The Keg ruined my valentine's day. I called and made reservations a month before. Then one week before i called to change the time. The night of valentine's day I called to confirm the time as i forgot which time. They then said i never made any reservation and there is nothing they can do. After my girlfriend was dressed up and excited to go I had to tell her we couldn't go. Thanks to the keg on 4th for ruining mine and my girlfriend's valentine's day. i hope others here this, and choose to not go here as there is no customer service provided here.
