The Mission Restaurant (Permanently Closed)

The cocktails were okay a little pricey but this place is great for people watching - my friends and I were convinced this is a swingers bar from the interesting clientele

Came here on a Sunday (all day happy hour) for some cocktails. Two of us each started with and old fashioned which they did a good job of.

Next I ordered the Pablo Escobar and my bf ordered the butcher's wife. Both of these cocktails were ok. The Pablo Escobar was actually barely distinguishable from the old fashioned I had, which is too bad because it was twice the price. I also found it to be on the sweet side. The butcher's wife was ok too but tasted mostly like grapefruit juice.

Atmosphere too was ok. It was Sunday so I get that it is not going to be packed. but we were there for an hour (4-5pm) and were the only 2 customers in the restaurant. I'd give this place another try but the cocktails were really nothing I'd be too excited to order again.

Great atmosphere! Amazing drinks. By far the best brussel sprouts I've ever put in my mouth!! Maple lemon glaze.. come on!! A must if you're in Calgary

Great dinner potential, but the menu is still a bit thin. Looks like a fun bar if you're just having a few cocktails and a quick bite. Friendly staff and relaxed environment.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Five stars if they would not have cranked the music near the end of the night past a level where you could talk.

Turn down the bloody music. Other than that it's a nice place. Good owners and attentive staff. Some menu items are questionable at best, some are great. If you don't mind shouting over the other people who are shouting over you and the music to be heard at the table, this is a good place.

My gf and I went here on Friday night for some snack and drinks. Our bartenders were great, and recommended drinks that brought me out of my comfort zone that I ended up really enjoying! Food was delicious and the presentation was on point. Awesome staff, great atmosphere and all around a pleasant time. I have already recommended it to my friends and will be back soon!
