K2 Jasper got its name due to the mine location, a stones throw from the mountain itself. It wasn't until later that it was discovered that the blue in the stone are actually Azurite plumes!

This batch of Greenland Sodalite is being exposed to UV light in the photo. It is a part of the Greenland collection that was hand-collected in Greenland by Silver Cove's co-owner, Chris Robak.
Greenland Sodalite can range in color from blue to white, grey, green, yellow, or pink in the daylight. Sodalite is a tectosilicate mineral that fluoresces a vibrant orange under long-wave UV. Green Sodalite in particular is a vibrant green during the day, and is incredibly tenebrescent (changes color when exposed to sunlight) under short-wave UV.

Went for the second consecutive year, and we weren't disappointed. Although may have to get a second job.
These people are incredible! Super knowledgeable, very friendly and you can tell that they really love what they do.

Loved it so much, I am going a second time, and I live in Camrose. The gem show was worth the trip
Love Silver Cove, never seen so many Precious Crystals, Rocks and Fossils.
I went on Wednesday evening and I'm glad I took the trip from Rocky to do so.. Not only was I like a kid from a candy store , I ended up adding to my ever growing collection.. It is handy having a boyfriend who is a geologist and we both share this hobby.. This show was absolutely awesome !!
I make sure to attend both their yearly occasions. The selection is amazing and the people are extremely knowledgeable. Bonus!
I had an issue with my selenite lamp and the owners were very timely in sending me a new cord once we finally made contact. Thank you very much!
