Theatre A Go-Go is an educational and performance based Theatre School and Company, in Calgary, providing quality education and innovative performances.

Theatre A Go-Go was created in 1987, as a performance based Physical Theatre Company. Since then the Company has performed for various organizations such as: The Calgary International Children’s’ Festival and Theatre Calgary’s Cushion Concert series. Since 2006, we have also completed many school residencies in and around Calgary. The Theatre School was created in 2009, to offer opportunities in educating Physical Theatre.

Theatre School Mission Statement: To provide quality education and to inspire all ages to IMAGINE and EXPLORE through drama and the Physical Theatre Arts.

Theatre School Vision Statement: Leading the way in education of the Physical Theatre Arts, enabling individuals to EXPRESS with confidence and PLAY for the community, whether on or offstage.

Indeed “All the world’s a stage” (William Shakespeare), and we are all players on this world stage. Whether we want to become better human beings or explore the magic of creating a character, we are always learning how to act.

We aim to develop the whole individual by offering direct physical experience, enrichment of the imagination, and the possibility of touching the heart and soul.

DRAMA celebrates inner resources, uniqueness, creativity and intuition in each individual. By using inner resources an individual gains a joyful confidence, expressiveness and sensitivity to self, others, and the world around. This then enables an individual to deepen their understanding of responsibility to THEATRE as an Art form that relies on teamwork.

Imagine a world enriched through drama and theatre; Exploring uniqueness, spontaneity and creativity; Expressing character, improving speaking skills and gaining confidence with movement through the Play. We guide players to discover who they are, what they can do and who they can be.
