Many sites on the Bow river & on a creek. First come first serve camping available. Had some friendly wildlife encounters. Mosquito population was high. Very scenic, there is vehicle noise from nearby highway.

Convenient location close to Banff and Calgary. Close convenience store. Awesome scenic location next to the river and relatively spacious camping spaces. Only down sides were thick mosquitoes and smelly toilets but worth it for the camping.

I went tenting here in a group of four with two tents and had to pay $26 a night PER TENT. It was a rip off considering there was no services besides a shared out house and water pump. If you are going in a group I suggest all sleeping in one big ten or trailer because you will save $26 a night. Also the person working at the campsite was not friendly at all.

This weekend (July Long) was our first time staying here, it was a last minute decision, and we were lucky they even had a spot available... I thought it was a cute little campsite! I love that it sits along the river and can’t wait to camp there again and spend the day floating down. It is really close to the highway, so of course it’s a bit loud but I didn’t find it unbearable. The only 2 things that I didn’t like was the bathrooms, they stunk so bad… I guess that comes along with outhouses, but damn it was bad. And the mosquitoes were horrible! Couldn’t sit still for a minute without swatting away mosquitoes… but that could have just been this time.
I’ll definitely visit again. If it’s on your way and you need somewhere to stay, I think it’s just fine!

Pretty basic provincial campground with only camping spots and toilets. No showers and or garbage bins (that I could find). It's near the highway, but the traffic is far enough away that it's not loud, unlike the camping sites in Canmore where the traffic is very close. Very few bugs when I was there last weekend.

Have been using this campground annually for 4 years now at this time of year and hands down this was the worst condition it has ever been in including the year after the floods. Spent 3 hours cleaning and smoothing out the pad upon arrival. Most sites looked like someone was doing donuts with an atv and the pads were littered with branchs from recent triming. Spent 2 hours phoning all available numbers within business hours to ask for a rake or firewood and some information only to never get through. When I asked a bathroom attendant why I couldn't get through he was confused because the camp manager was apparently camping in the campground at the time of my calls making it even more frustrating that no one ever answered. Staff were never even seen driving around till well over 24 hours of being on property and never once stopped to see if we needed anything, they would proceed to drive by fast and not even look at the campsites. Never had a single issue with this campground until this year and am disappointed all around by the sites and staff. Really hoping all of this improves when the actual live on site staff arrive who usually have moved in by this time and are always so helpful and kind. Wish I could say the same for staff on site currently.
