Our truck body division started on a dare in 1976. There were a few body builders of some lower quality products, and the one that did build a decent body closed down. When discussing with a builder about the lack of quality and dependability, the builder replied, if you can build a better body, why don't you do it yourself. That was the wrong thing for him to say, I announced that we are in the body business and this prompted a call from a long time body supplier employee Mike Mazar. He called me up to state that he heard we were going into that business, and asked if he could be the guy heading it. With that our Truckbody division was born. If Mike was around today, he would be pleased to see how we have evolved into one the best body manufactures in Alberta.
