Tommy Gun'S Original Barbershop

Excellent example of an establishment which has sacrificed customer service for pumping out as many mediocre haircuts in as little amount of time as possible.

Checked-in online as I had done before, at which time I booked with Alison and requested a 5 minute warning text message. A few minutes later I received a 0 minute warning message, at which time I left my office to walk over to the location. As the teleportation device is currently in the shop, it took me a few moments to walk over from my building, which is across the street. When I got there, they happily told me it would be a 15 minute wait (which I assume was a low ball as I saw the new customer just sit down) as I was 5 minutes late and Alison had taken on another customer. I told them to cancel my appointment, which will be the last one I make with the Tommy Gun franchise. In their defense they did try calling me, however since I was a few minutes away from outset, I didn't bother to watch my phone as I didn't think it would come into play.

Came in for a haircut and beard trim, Darcy is amazing. So much fun, down to earth. A great professional. Never had so many laughs and great experience. I have to say i have found my stylist for my hair and beard.

The ladies at this location are very nice. Quality of haircut wasn't all there but I don't think they really specialize in fades. Watch out for the TV in the mirror because after your haircut, they won't take out a mirror to show you the job they did like all other barbers shops do. 3 stars because of this plus I was charged $50 plus 20% tip for a haircut I don't like where my barber charges me $30 and does a wicked job.

Fate found me sitting with a coffee in the food court waiting outside Tommy Gun for my shoe store to open. I watched as several women starting to prepare to open at 8:30am. I had never heard of Tommy Gun before ( I am from Toronto) - so it took me a while before I realized it was a barbershop. Then to my surprise I never saw what I expected to see - a male barber inside waiting to cut hair. This intrigued me. I was immediately thinking of the Wonder Woman movie and how empowering it was to all women. So naturally I decided to get a haircut - even though I didn't need one. Who could pass up a scalp massage? From the moment I entered the shop I was made to feel welcome. The ladies were more than professional - they were actually nice to me. Which is something I don't get much being single and new to Calgary. Casey was my "barber". She had a gentle smile and demeanor and I trusted her implicitly. The quality of the haircut I received was superb. Then just as I thought we were wrapping up she performed a scalp massage. I thought it to be a silly menu item written on the store window but I was sadly mistaken. I reverted to a five year old child in the caring hands of Casey, gently massaging my scalp as my Mother would have many years ago. This WAS an experience. One that I hope to repeat. I found my perfect barber in Casey - and I hope she is there for a long time. Thank you Tommy Gun for providing a quality store inside the core and opening at such a convenient time. Thank you to the other staff who were equally nice in greeting me. See you all soon!

Huge waits, not enough stylists it's not worth even bothering to check. Was told there was a 1.5-2 hour wait with no one on the wait list and only one stylist in the shop. Not the first time.

I see alot of negative reviews and I'm totally confused I've been to this place 3 times now and every time I leave with a smile on my face and a fresh as hell cut . They are very understanding and very caring about the people who walk in the shop . I am treated super nice and they always take there time . Wich is hard to find any where else .

I was been there once and never again. I was worst experience ever. Miss T. was trim my hair and she dont have any idea about what she is doing. AWFULL. ..😡

Used to be good. Not any more. Priced got jack way up and quality way down. Tried to charge me 66 dollars for a bad hair cut . cant do a fade to save there lives.
