Tops Supermarket

Decent prices on particular items, but less selection compared to the larger TnT. Limited store hours, and not as clean and tidy as the other stores.

Recently bought 4 Musang King Durian from Tops 100 Supermarket ! One of them was sour when I opened it! In the newspaper it is listed as a fresh durain but it was in a freezer.. So I went back with my receipt and demanded a refund or to buy something equivalent to the durian. Durain's are not suppose to be sour , and if they are that means they are spoiled. So I talked to the cashier and she doesn't speak english . Tell me who hires employees who don't understand or speak english . This is Canada crying out loud. So I spoke to her mandarin and requested for a manager. So she calls the manager over the phone , and tells me they can't do anything about this issue. I told the cashier who's name was Lian to tell the manager to come downstairs and try the durian for himself , if they thought the durian was not sour. Instead she constantly ignored my request and made up lies and excuses about the durian and their return policies and the manager being in the store and not being in the store. Even their receipt has no policy or anything written on it saying that returns or exchanges are only 7 days or that no returns are accepted. What did I do ? I couldn't do much but leave the durian on their table and walk out the door. I will never go back here. I bought in total almost 10 durians here and they have lost their reputation and business. I will be reporting this on BBB as well.

Lots of selection of imported packaged foods from Asia (mostly meats and fish products, some prepared dumplings and such), less fresh produce than I expected to see. Not too busy and reasonable prices.

It's on the way home from downtown, ideal place to pick up veggies, frozen seafood and items such as instant noodles and frozen fishballs... these items are cheaper than other Chinese outlets....

My friends from Asia love it and I like going with them and learning about new products.

It had a good selection of fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. The butcher area was very clean. I couldn't find all the Asian ingredients I needed and have to supplement with other grocery stores nearby.
