Just a heads up that the part of the trail system behind Roland Michener School is currently blocked off and a Bear Trap has been set. We would encourage residents to stay away from the area, and not tear down the barricades that have been installed.
For the safety of all residents please if you spot a bear trap stay away. Do not approach it!
Residents are also reminded to become “Bear Smart” and to report bear concerns to local Fish and Wildlife. Wildlife emergencies and aggressive behaviours should be reported to the Report-A-Poacher line. More info at www.bearsmart.alberta.ca

Our staff has been hard at work during the Aquatic Centre Shutdown over the last few weeks. We are trying to keep to our timeline of reopening the Aquatic Centre on October 22nd. Stay tuned to one of our many social media outlets to stay informed about the closure.

I think these streets up here in the S.E are disgusting !!!!! The stupid parking lot at the town office is scraped to the pavement....get these streets done too !!!! Sidewalks haven't been done up here either....what u need....someone else to get run over & killed cause of these disgusting street & sidewalks ?!?!?!?!?

I lived in this town for many years I see it grow seen it burnt down built back up the town is beautiful strong and we all are together

After being away from Slave Lake for nearly 6 years, I was happy to return to it, even though my home province is NL. It felt just like home and I was just as homesick for Slave Lake as I was for NL.

Well yesterday we had our sewer backup...totally disgusting!!!! However a huge thank you to Mike from the Town of Slave Lake and Eric from Depluggers for their fast response and efficient work. Much appreciated!!

Town seems plain. No appeal of attraction. Dirty and dusty.

Its a wonderful Town! and there ere many things to do.

It's been many years since we visited Slave Lake. I believe I still have a few relatives living there.

Gas price in Smith is 0.949 way cheaper than Slave lake, Athabasca , weatlock even though Edmonton.
