Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway Association

About Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway Association

The Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway Association (TCYHA) is the organization formed by western Canadian municipalities and interested parties in 1947 to work with all levels of government to build what is now known as the Yellowhead Highway (Trans Canada #16). The Yellowhead Highway also has a southern branch in BC designated as Highway #5. We continue to work with governments to address ongoing highway improvements. TCYHA is very active in promoting the highway as a primary means of transportation for commercial and tourist travelers. A hard copy travel guide is published (over 75, 000 distributed thru Visitor Information Centers) and we have a website, which also contains a digital version of the Travel Guide, geared to travelers to help them develop their trip planning itinerary . Experience the multitude of unique attractions, breath-taking vistas, national historic sites and festive events found all along and off the Yellowhead - 3, 000kms (just over 1, 800 miles) of distinctive travel enjoyment along the most fuel efficient passage between the Canadian Prairies to the West Coast. GoYellowhead! It's easy, it's enjoyable and it's the only way to go for recreational and commercial travel.
