Haven't been in the room yet but I'm very thankful that they offered a compassion rate for the people of Fort McMurray that had to leave the homes due to wildfire. Staff was nice and the lobby looked good. All the reviews said the rooms were clean so what more could ya want for $50:)

The rooms here are okay, good waiters and waitress..,sizeable beds with comfortable AC. Pools and the environment are good...,I cherish their towels and other toiletries.. Indeed I enjoyed the weekends over there. (So amazing )

Pool, sauna, great service, good food and you can get continental breakfast if you want

It was nice to get away, I think the pool should be warmer and bigger. It was really crowded with just a few people in it. But other than that it was a good stay!

User

Front desk was very helpful, the boys loved the pool, room was clean, one little thing was not enough cream and sugar in the room and any extra you would have to pay.

Room was nice enough. But being in a regular room with 2 double beds one weekend and then a "superior" room with 1 queen bed the next weekend for and additional $20/night I was very disappointed to see that the rooms were exactly he same, just a different bed situation. Not sure how that price difference is justified.

I've stayed here numerous amounts of times. The hotel is clean, fair, and has comfortable beds.Usually I have no issues with staff However, one of the night audit employees seems to not enjoy his job very much. I understand how working all night can be tiring as I've been a night auditor before. But I always made a point to smile at my customers and make them feel beyond welcome. You could have a 5 star hotel, but if your warm attitude is lacking, it can be quite damaging to the customers experience. Most of the time I arrive late at night from work in Saskatchewan. And I felt a little timid about checking in yesterday, but you do what you got to do. As this is one of my preferred places to stay when I have business in the west end.

I stayed with 4 children . My worry was when I went in around midnight because we had a conference and that finished late , they were no staff at the reception and no place to ring , the put a sign to. Ring to the phone desk , i rung and waited for 30 min for someone to come and I was upset and tired with kids too . They gave us 2 rooms that one was at the first floor and one was at the third floor why ? Mistake , and the 2second rooms was for disability person that I didn't ask for it . The reason was they were no room, I booked the room a month earlier . Imagine?? Staff were kind and place were clean too

So we totally stayed there thinking that the “water park” was decent or at least like one we’ve seen in another city- it wasn’t. And the rest wasn’t great either. When I crawled into bed the first night, I pulled my foot out cause I felt something on it- it was a piece of hair. Must not have changed the sheets before we came? The next morning we were there the elevator didn’t work, so there I am on the 4th floor with my baby in a car seat, toddler, diaper bag and another bag going down the stairs. That sucked. Then the following morning the cleaning lady started coming by 9/9:30. My toddler and baby were still asleep. My husband and daughter went to the pool- the main pool was FREEZING and it was just freezing overall in there- frost on the windows etc. The final morning before we left we went down to the pool by 9 again - the slide wasn’t on, the hot tub wasn’t working and there was only the main pool and my gosh that was cold! I left with my baby after 5 minutes cause it was so cold! Can’t say I’ll be back or even recommend this hotel. Which is too bad cause we will be back in Edmonton in a month or so and will need another hotel again.

Older hotel. Not very nice pool and hot tub. Rooms were alright. Edmonton folk need to put deposit on credit card and when I booked hotel I wasn't told this so that was a huge problem to me. Won't be staying here again. For $30 more I could have stayed at a nicer place.

This place is a joke. A Smittys built on that limits overnight guests to a drink minimum.

Did I travel back in time when I went West. Never ever again will I go to a Smitty's in Canada
