My home away from home. I love that the food is fresh, you can taste the difference, super addicted to the chicken fingers and fajita salad. Great vibe, prices and specials. Can't wait to see what's to come 👍
I️ had the cavatappi pasta for dinner and It was really good ! Servers are super friendly as well
We've been here twice now with 2 different experiences. Last night, was a Thursday. We enjoyed the service, the food, and the entertainment. The food was average this day. Most of the staff were quite friendly. The fellow doing the entertainment, (trivia & music) was very nice. He was quite attentive and friendly, trying to get the patrons involved. Our last experience, was not quite as good. We had some issues with the food. Our server was accommodating, but her manager was being difficult. There was no entertainment that night, but I hope they try to do more that way. A laugh goes a long way when nothing else does.
I wanted to try some new drinks (no more beer) so I wanted some advice from the server on trying some Whiskey. She was very helpful and I found a brand of Whiskey I liked
Food was good as well. No complaints
Great service, great food. Have been a number of times and always enjoy going back. Took friends recently who had not been before, and they too enjoyed it.
We've been going to Tudor since it's opening. We've had multiple functions here and go weekly. The last two times we have been here we've had bad experiences. Last visit they did last call at 11:30pm on a Saturday. We came in for food and got told all we could have is nachos. At midnight they shut the lights off and on. Today we went in for a bite giving it a second try. Waited a very long time for our food. Lettuce wrap was horrible. Nobody checked on us for the food or the empty drinks. Gross part is watching both waitresses carrying drinks out with out trays and having their hands up high on the glass where you drink from. We had to than ask for our bill from a different server. Our server still didn't come over and the manager helped us with the debit machine. Sad but time to find a new place. Bad Experience!
It was awesome two years ago before they changed there menu. Since then the service has gone downhill, the food is hit or miss.. we ordered the Cavatapi pasta one night and it was basically soup... they aren't really open anymore or at least their hours are whack. The music sucks in there now.
What the heck is happening over there!?!?
I used to go to the Tudor Rose weekly before new management took over. Since they took over I went the first month weekly and this is what I got, undercooked meatballs with spaghetti, very little cheese on the Natchos, and twice on Wing night -wings were over cooked, hard and cold. Wing night is not what it used to be. Before new owners, the pub was packed up and had very little sitting room most nights, food was so good I raved to all my friends and co-workers, wait staff were friendly and efficient. Now there are hardy any customers, wait staff is unfriendly and rude, food is terrible.
I did try to go for a drink yesterday on Dec 27 to find that they are on a seasonal break until January?? What pub does that?? This season is usually the busiest with parties and Dec 31 used to be sold out there and really fun. It's sad that it's gone down hill.
Tudor is our local neighbourhood pub, and it has become an utter disappointment. We are regulars (visiting at least 1-2 times per week), and in recent months the service and quality have plummeted beyond anything I’ve ever seen anywhere. Wrong orders, cold food, terrible quality meals, and we’ve had to literally walk out a couple of times because we’ve been completely ignored by the staff (despite the fact that the place was dead).
They’ve been closed for “maintenance” for almost a month now (because closing over the Christmas holidays is always brilliant ) and nobody bothered to let us know that an event we were planning on hosting there would not be happening - we had to reach out and track them down to see if they’d be open by that point (they won’t be).
A poorly run pub that disappoints everyone, especially the people who have been long-time supporters.
This place used to have really good food but since new management took over food has gone downhill. They had a great menu before.....their new one sucks big time.
This is our favorite go to pub for lunch and dinner, but last night the service and food was absolutely horrible! Waitstaff did not approach us for 20 minutes to even take our drink order, wings were cold and stale when we got them (it's wing night, they should be hot and fresh!!), and my main meal order was wrong when it finally arrived and the meat tasted like it had been cooked days before so we couldn't even eat it... We heard two other tables near us complaining that they had been there for over 30 minutes and their orders had not been taken either. We always rave to our friends about Tudor Rose over the competition S.W. in Creekside, so please rectify these issues or you will lose some dedicated customers.
The worst veggie burger I've ever had. Seriously any chef that has any imagination could do more than plop a pre-made veggie patty on a dry white bun without any condiments. All it had was a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. I had to ask for mustard (all the table has on it is ketchup) and used some of my salad dressing to make it moist enough to swallow. Terrible! Certainly vegetarian customers deserve more thought than that! Some chutney, some sautéed veggies, anything!
The service has always been bad, but today when my food came out late (and cold) and I had to ask for cutlery, my server's response to my request for a fork was "why dont you be a man and eat with your hands"...
The new ownership has only made this place worse than it ever was before... sad since it is the only neighbourhood pub. They would likely be out of business if there was any local competition.
Stopped in for a late lunch just after 2 PM. Was there with one other person and seemingly no people working. After 10 minutes of waiting and nobody coming to our aid, we got up and left. As we were leaving a woman who looks like she got off of a smoke break entered the building and gave us a blank stare without saying anything, so we proceeded on our way. Likely wont try this place in the future due to the lack of care during operating hours; clearly the staff and/or management do not care.
Staff need to know the ALGC rules we got refused service because my sons license expired the day we were in their to celebrate his 21st birthday!
Checked with the ALGC and they told me the staff were wrong, checked with the Alberta registries and you have till midnight the day of your license expiring!
Sorry we and I mean WE won't be back there.
Place is shut down. Too bad. Wasn’t the same after the original owners sold it. Grrr! Kfal
I was told by server if I have more than 6 people on any night to make a reso because they can't serve that many people...after sitting for 10 minutes with zero acknowledgement or service. Never made reso for a pub before
How can I not rate this with zero stars? We’ve lived in Coventry Hills for 5 years and this has been our regular date night go-to place, Apparently new owners have come into play since we’ve last been here. How can we order drinks with no drink menu? Food menu is crap compared to what it used to be, TV’s in individual booths have all been shut down. We paid for our 2 drinks we didn’t even bother to drink and went to the brewhouse. Very sad to see such a great place go to crap.
Been going here since it opened...and always had good service and food. I would even go as far to say we were ‘regulars’ for staff lunch meetings.
The last few times since the new owners took over, it has been awful. Food is gross...the menu sucks and the service is the worst ever!!! We won’t be back.
Sad to see our little community pub become such a dive.
