I said there was a weird sound when my van started on really hot days and the check engine was on. They started the vehicle a bunch of times and it didn't make the sound. $80. Put the vehicle on the scanner and wrote down what it said. Labor and scan $220. So $308 for the diagnostic. Then said I had misfires and needed a major tune up. On the high end it would be $1800. That sounded ridiculous. Took it instead to a mechanic in the city. They started van, put it on a scanner 3 separate times after driving it around. Said there is absolutely no misfires and the vehicle is in perfect shape except a sensor. Said it would be $300 to replace the sensor and its really not in my best interest until the vehicle really does need a tune up. $74 later I left that place for a diagnostic. But they did say if I needed a tune up it would be no more than $600. Tune tech's prices are absolutely ridiculous and I will never return.
