Vespucci

Only a few good luxury designer consignment stores in Calgary and this is definitely the most known and large one of them. Good place to check out especially if you're looking for something in particular. Yeah the staff aren't friendly or helpful unless you make the effort to talk to them but it's not what you come to consignment stores for.

A decent consignment shop. Fairly standard. I’ve used them multiple times and am pleased with the return I get for my items overall. The staff however leaves a lot to be desired. Having used this shop multiple times I’ve dealt with several different staff members and they’re all extremely abrupt and often rude. Any time I’ve had a question about consigning requirements or checking my account I’ve been treated as though I should already know the answer and I’m a huge inconvenience for asking. Currently looking for another shop to deal with that has better customer service.

I have been coming to for Vespucci for about a decade. This was my first so-so experience. Contrary to what other reviews are saying, I only had one less than pleasant staff experience. Gail was awesome, Tammy was pleasant. Michael-Ann.....well ....not so much. As always they had a great selection, but for the first time ever, I was disgusted by the pricing. $20 more than new for a no name sweater is unacceptable. The lowest price I could find on anything was a less than pristine t-shirt for $28. I also found several items with holes in them. Vespucci....you have a good thing going, but unless you are more selective with your inventory and realistic on pricing...I can see you closing your doors before long.

Staff isn't very friendly (no one even says hello when you walk in the door). The place is absolutely packed so I would budget a couple of hours for a thorough look. Double check your items as I've found pieces on the rack with holes and stains on them. Prices are higher than comparable items at other consignments stores in Calgary. Not my favourite, but they do have a large selection.

If you are looking for quality wardrobe pieces or designer apparel at consignment prices...this is Mecca!! I've been a customer for 12+ years and the service is top notch. Another bonus is the seasonal clearance sales...top quality pieces at low, low prices :)

I've been consigning and shopping here for about 4 years now and absolutely love it! The staff are very friendly and helpful and I feel welcomed every time. The clothing, purses, shoes and accessories are always amazing and in style

Do not take your items here to consign! Each item they will charge $2 handling fee and if they feel your items need dry cleaned, washed or repaired they will deduct the cost when you settle your account. Items not sold by the end of the season will just be given to charity, I'm all for charity but I would like the choice of what I am giving. I called on the weekend to ask what my balance was and was told to call back Monday as they don't give balances on weekends. I called back on a Monday and was rudely put on hold, as in slammed onto the counter to hear every hanger clanging, I waited 10 mins on hold and finally hung up. I called back only to be met with a busy signal for an hour because they didn't pick the phone up. They are rude, and a complete rip off. There is another shop I go to and I can bring my items in, have them looked at in all of 10 mins and don't have to be on hangers, no extra or hidden charges for cleaning and I don't have to book an appointment to discuss what funds I will receive and then wait the 2 weeks for processing, I get my money on the spot! They are absolutely ridiculous! Bunch of hags! Seriously don't bother with this place!

Decent place to shop, loved when they carried good quality hand bags other than that was an ok experience

Everything I have ever taken to Vespucci has sold and I have been happy with the payouts. I would like to see an appointments system implemented to make it easier for people to arrange dropoffs

I've been going to Vespucci since 2005. I found real treasures there. I hardly go to women's clothing stores anymore. Why pay more when Vespucci has so much selection? I consigned many items over the years and never had any problems. Staff is always very polite and helpful. I saw an earlier comment about high prices. I disagree. My advice to this reviewer is to wait for the -50% to -70% end-of-season sales. Great address.

I usually have an OK experience here, but today was different. The two women managing the fitting rooms were rude and full of attitude. When I returned the clothes I wasn't going to purchase, on the hangers as requested, the sales person seemed quite annoyed that I returned so many to her. Then I slipped out of the change room to grab a few extra sizes and when I came back I was accosted by the other woman who said "excuse me! We count the clothes before you go in". I told her they hadn't counted the last time I went in and she told me that "it's policy and they always count the clothes". I'm fine with whatever policy they have, I just don't want to be treated rudely for something I didn't know. She told me they were understaffed because of the economy. It seems they have more than enough staff... just not enough staff with good customer service.
