I've been going to the pool here since I was a little kid and it's always been my favorite pool in the city. I will highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun time at the pool.

I really love taking my kids here to the wave pool. There is so much to do! I only have one complaint: the man's change room seems to no longer offer lockers that allow you to bring your own personal lock. You must use a loonie, and while you get it back I still prefer not having to carry around the key while I swim.

I'm new to Calgary, looking for a place to stay fit and healthy. Came here with some friends. Staff are rude especially in the weight room. The change rooms are filthy and not maintained. Tried three different lockers, two of them were broken. One ate my friends dollar. They don't have an option for locks. For $12.50 a person, this place is trash. Not sure if this is the Calgary standard or if the LC is just subpar.

While this leisure centre has a nice pool, there are several other issues that this centre has that completely turned me off. First of all, after walking in on a hot day, the entire lobby was full of people and there is very little direction for where to line up and I'm certain the crowds were a hazard had there been an emergency.

After waiting in line for about 40 minutes (10 minutes in the wrong line) and being pushed and bumped into by misbehaved children, we finally got in. When we got in the change room, the locker we used wouldn't lock, and then the next one wouldn't lock and finally a girl leaving offered us hers that did lock and we could finally get to the pool.

Right before we decided to go, we picked up some goggles with the nose cover (those are the most comfortable for us) within seconds of entering the pool, we were told to take them off. I inquired why after reading the rules (which do say no scuba gear but I don't consider goggles scuba gear) and I was told that these goggles are a breathing hazard. I'm sorry but last I checked, water is a fairly significant breathing hazard. I saw no hazard in wearing them, especially when I witnessed countless other hazards around the pool like children climbing the pool walls while the waves were on or running through the jungle gyms etc. I failed to see how goggles that covered the nose I would have plugged anyways were a hazard in comparison.

It doesn't end there. When we went on the thunder run slide, there was no attendant at the top, and even though there was a light, the time between the light was not nearly enough. I waited two sets, and I ran into the person in front of me and I was also run into by the person behind me. I was bruised up my leg from the collision and when I told the life guard at the bottom, she was very uninterested in my concern.

Overall, it was a poor experience, and I will definitely not be back. I would much rather travel to Edmonton to a real water park where it is run far better than this dump.

Save your money, there are many other fun things to do in Calgary.

I remember going there when I was 7 years old & now I'm 38 and looking at pictures of the old wave pool and happy that it's still there after all these years & would want to go back if I go on vacation at Calgary. Very nice and still looks cool and fun.

A very fun pool and have gone many times and enjoyed it. The staff is good and cheap nights are a great deal for a easy night of activity and family fun. However the past couple of times the water has been very cold so cold that my 1 year old just shivers the whole time.

This was my childhood favorite place. Recently visited there as an adult and was super disappointed. Half of everything was shut down or not working (thunder run, blue slide, jungle gym) just had and overall gross vibe to be honest and I don't say that lightly. Uhg!!!
