Amazing work and outstanding customer service. I needed to have a memorial picture done with touch-up’s and Kelsey was amazing. She assured me they could get it done in the very, very short time frame we had and it turned out perfect. When she called to tell me to say it will be ready at 4:15, I asked about framing it too( last minute stress request at a difficult time) . Kelsey had it framed and ready for me with in the next 30min. This level of professionalism & customer service was above and beyond anything I expected.

We buy lighting gels for our event up-lights at Vistek, we find there downtown location convenient. They also have an impressive selection of expensive camera equipment and rentals. There prices could be a bit more competitive.

Every time had a great experience. Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Always ready to go extra mile to leave customer happy. Great photo and video gear. From camera till accessories. Lately less display products, out of box products. They have product bet you can not take out of box and see/compare.

Jorge has been fantastic helping me buy my two drones from vistek. Overall experience is good, they do not help non-profits in any way, that's a little frustrating given the lack of resources for non-profits. But Jorge helped me pick both drones and I have been very happy with both of them! Including when one of them had manufacturer defect. Very fast turn around, the amount of paper work the employees have to do seems a bit excessive but he took care of it.

Expected better service and quality. First and last time I will ever go to Vistek. Wanted to give then a serious try but during my one transaction: phone lines never worked (always busy), order for pick wasn't ready on scheduled pick up time and the quality was terrible. Never go back

Every time I chat with the staff here, I learn soo much about the equipment they sell. They always try to inform me to make the best decision and they'll even recommend other shops if that's my best option. World class establishment because of the great people working there.

Watch out for the Vistek Calgary downtown location. I am a customer there for many years. I just came back from purchasing a $1700 camera which I wanted to look at first of course. "Not possible" the sales rep says. They had the camera in stock, but refused to open the box "because it's no longer new after we open it." They didn't have a display model and didn't want to "create one". After a ten minute discussion with the manager, he finally agreed with much huffing and puffing to open the box and let me try the camera. I bought the camera but the sales rep got in a little huff afterwards and hardly talked to me. Unprofessional. I think they are on commission so he should be happy I didn't walk out. Staff behavior like this often reflects bad management.
I'm a big supporter of local business and try to give local camera stores equal amount of my business which is quite significant $$$. With store policies like these you guys at Vistek make it difficult for me. Re-think your policies and give this feedback to Head Office, please. If I have another bad experience like this, I won't be back.

Vistek confuses me, because I feel like their prices are higher than a couple of other local options - but I end up buying from them all the time and for a better price, just the same. Bizarre. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, though I find the store hard to browse - feels more like a show-room than a store. That said, I've spent upwards of a half hour on the phone with them just talking about monitor technology - and they were actually knowledgeable about it, not just suggesting "the best brand." I used to do lots of processing here when they still had a lab, but that looks like it's been finally renovated out of this location.

I have dealt with Vistek several times as a pro photographer. This year I have experienced the worst service possible. I shop online with Vistek. I ordered a Nikon 360 camera and several accessories. It took over a month to place my order as their network would not recognize my email address despite have shopped there before. No one called, or reached out to me. I had to continually chase them to purchase the camera. The camera arrived and needless to say, was not up to par. The app to operate it did not consistently pair, and the app on the computer wouldn't read the camera basically rendering the $800 investment useless. This was discovered within a week of owning it. I contacted them to tell them the problem and that I would be returning the camera. I also contacted Nikon who told me that as my software was the most recent OSX, Nikon had not yet written the update for the camera - again, camera is useless to me. After receiving in writing confirmation that there would be no restocking fee, I could send the camera back - shipping at my cost. I did. Nearly two months has gone by and Vistek has gone back on their word about the restocking fee. Not only that, they have endlessly told me they would return my call, address the issue, let me know, blah blah blah which - no one has called, no email was sent. One day, an email actually came through to tell me that now miraculously they couldn't get through to my phone number? I called a manager - Salim - who was going to get to the bottom of it all and call me back. He didn't. In the meantime, their Nikon rep says the camera is working fine. Could be true for whatever software they are using but it doesn't work for me. Again, no one paying attention to my needs just looking for ways to blame the purchaser for a failed sale. Today still no credit to my credit card, called Salim, there's a restocking fee - broken their word. "It's a head office decision." Really? Where was head office before? Head office has made interest on my purchase while I have paid interest on my credit card. Now, apparently, someone from head office will call me on Monday - I doubt it. Buyer beware when purchasing from Vistek. They may have the products but the service is absolutely atrocious. Looking for a pro store? Try somewhere else - maybe The Camera Store in Calgary will step up to the pro plate. Vistek is definitely not up for providing professional service.

I recently developed a huge interest in photography, through internet I found Vistek had sales around Christmas time, that's how I met their sales person: Jorge Perez. He gave me useful advice on choosing lens and tripod. I absolutely love all the stuff he recommended. He also helped me to install tripod plates. My overall experience with the store is friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back for more equipment. Thanks for your help Jorge!
