Viva Café catering /cafeterias is a family /community run business offering catering to Edmonton's learning community and various events.

Vivian Abboud is the founder of Viva Café catering /cafeterias in which she delegates the day-to-day operations to family and community members while she oversees the business’ management functions. Vivian has a Lebanese background and has been in Canada for 19 years. She has survived the civil war in Lebanon and is very grateful to be in Canada. Vivian won the 2014 RBC Top 25 Immigrant Award and Vivian is an avid women and community advocate in Edmonton. As such, Vivian decided to follow her passion and found Viva Café with the goal of offering Healthy and Tasty choices to Edmonton’s learning community while maximizing the potential of immigrant women. Viva Café recruits vulnerable women and gives them the opportunity to reach their full potential by providing them with the necessary training to become excellent chefs. Viva Café cafeterias are located in high schools where students benefit from a homemade and tasty food selection. All in all, Viva Café is a win win situation for our students and women in Edmonton!
