Our integrated service offering and diverse knowledge and experience collectively provides added value to individual services and projects. Our story began in 1999 when Stephen Farrell founded VerdaTech Energy Management & Consulting to help homeowners embrace energy savings. VerdaTech is one of the largest and longest-standing Service Organization in Canada. We have trained energy advisors across the country and are a leader in the industry. To diversify the service offering, management purchased a local mechanical engineering company in 2012, which has since been rebranded as Acacia Engineering Ltd. The company specializes in mechanical engineering with the adoption of sustainable practices in the designs where possible. We also work hand in hand with our customers to assess existing buildings (ASHRAE energy audits). With the new requirements under the various building codes, Acacia Engineering and VerdaTech are leaders in the application of 9. 36 Energy Code, STEP Code and NECB (National Energy Code for Buildings). In 2018, we further enhanced our service offering by partnering with Darrell Paul and Qualistat Building Performance Consultants. With the addition of Darrell's extensive experience and knowledge of the building industry, we are now well positioned to serve our commercial, industrial, and residential clients in all energy management aspects, mechanical engineering and building envelope assessments and problem solving.
