Today is national dog day. Not all dogs are family pets, not all dogs like to cuddle up on a rainy day. Not all dogs get to sleep at the foot of the bed. These dogs sleep during the day and work all night.
Today we honour the endless barking and patrolling of 160 acres all night and Into the sunrise of every morning.
Molly-pictures is very friendly gentle with people bought as a pup.
... I also have 2 other GUARD dogs with emphasis on guard as they are apart of the flock/herd and have NO human contact.
I feel for those who are having predator troubles but 1-2 WORKING,not the every day farm dog. Make a world of difference.
These dogs are bred for their task at paw.

The valley is home to these girls! They love the leaves and grass in the bottom that the cattle left behind. The hills are their playground.
Goats are a great resource for cleaning up bush land and to graze in behind cattle.

A few helpers along the way have made a huge difference. Things are progressing. Both farms are now very functional.
Have 200-250 goats to breed in a few months Around 100 ewes/ewe lambs Home from pasture to breed shortly. (Will post pics shortly)
... The rams and Billy’s are coming home shortly(also stay tuned in for pictures).
Most fencing should be done for this summer.

Most page wire came from eastview spring farms. Most lumber from V&O in rocky as well as dave Enns in Caroline.
The sweat and hard work came mostly from yours truely and I must thank my fiancé as well.

Sorting area is completely closed in. Now just the small animal alley to complete.
Any recommendations for a scale system? Prefer digital but might have to start out with a spring scale.

at the beginning of every month i wash my trailer but this month has been BUSY!!
Its always such a great feeling rolling down the road knowing your’s and my Livestock is hauled in fresh bedding and a clean trailer.
Kinda like fresh sheets on your bed👍.

The calm after the major hail and rain storm we had tonight.
Got 5-10 acres of hay laying still. But I did get 100 rounds baled in the last 2 days.

Made 75 round bales today. Roughly 50 more to make tomorrow.
