About Wainwright Arts

Promoting local artists in our community!

Wainwright Arts Description

Every February, the Wainwright Arts Council organizes the Wainwright Arts Festival to help promote and showcase the talented artists that live in our community.

The first day of the festival, Thursday, is dedicated to literature, and a writers workshop takes place in the afternoon, and an open mic event takes place at the library in the evening for local writers to read their poems, short stories, or excerpts from their novels.

An art show & sale featuring live, local musicians takes place Friday evening (7-10pm), and Saturday (10am-4pm) at the Wainwright Communiplex. The show usually features about 40 local artists from painters to sculptors to photographers. There is a wide range of styles and mediums, and is a fabulous way to experience art. We hope to see you there!
