Wainwright Military Family Resource Centre

The mission of the Wainwright MFRC is to develop services, programs, and activities that strengthen family life as well as create and promote conditions that foster the well-being of the entire military community in the Wainwright area. The MFRC is a non-profit society which operates under a Board of Directors. Its umbrella organization is the Directorate of Military Family Services in Ottawa. The WMFRC recognizes the many challenges families face living in a rural community. Through our programs, services, and resources we strive to meet the service needs and reduce the challenges of our community members. The WMFRC staff is a strong team that prides itself on a warm, open-door policy. We have seen considerable growth over the past couple of years and through that growth we have learned that the extent of the programs and services available at the MFRC are only limited by the imagination of its participants and users. Ideas and opportunities for new programming are always welcomed. The Military Family Services Program vision is: Confident, capable and resilient families in a supportive Canadian Forces community. The Military Family Services Program mission is: To promote and facilitate community-based military family services that strengthen Canadian Forces families and communities. Our facility holds a multitude of events, programs and services designed for young babies, all the way up to adults.
