War In Pieces is both a virtual and physical travelling gallery. It is a growing collection of stories donated by active military personnel, veterans and their families.

War In Pieces is both a virtual and physical travelling gallery. It is a growing collection of stories donated by active military personnel, veterans and their families, each told in first person and presented with a memento that symbolizes the story.

Our purpose is to provide an intimate glimpse of life through the eyes of our soldiers and their families. We want stories that express a myriad of emotions including rage, fear, despair, joy, relief, pride, amusement, love. . . everything that can possibly be felt and shared.

We have set out to do this in order to bridge the gap between our military and civilian cultures. Sharing stories is how all humans connect. We see ourselves in the storyteller while seeing the world through his or her eyes. By connecting through stories, we realize that we all have many more commonalities than differences.
