Yesterday I had an opportunity to get photo's of the horses here with me now for training. Thanks to Bev for taking the photos.
It is with sadness that today marks the Passing of Rio's Valentino aka Valie. Valie was a 21 y.o. Canadian Warmblood, that lived out his last 8 years or so, here with me at Wareabouts Training Stables. Lately he had developed Cushings Desease, and had growths in his oesophagus (I believe) that were causing issues with being able to swallow. Thanks to Just Passing for their humane service. Valie joined the big herds in the heavans this morning. RIP hoss.
It;s been quite a while since I uploaded some pictures here. So these are of a few of the horses currently in the pens for training,
PHot credit of Lady and Rooster to Bev Creed.
CLM Cavalier's Cameo aka Cameo is for sale. Cameo is 14.2hh and 16 y.o. There are video clips of her in action on my website robkroeger-horses.weebly.com - check out the horses for sale tab - the clip is about 5 minutes long. Please call me on (403) 931 3788 if you want to know all about her. She is great 'point and shoot' type of horse, with a lot of offer, so she is looking for a person that likes to ride a good horse - a lot. She is very rideable and light. Asking price is $5000.00
Dat 2 and he thinks he should eat some hay with his Mum
At 1 day old he is stealing kisses from Sharon
At 3.09 am I got a call to say that 'Lady' had produced her baby. He was probably born between 1 and 2 am as he was dryer by the time I got to see him at about 4. He is yet to get the 'big name' but he is out of First Varian Moon aka Lady by Polly Had a Cracker. Any suggestion? He seems to be coloring up as a Bay /Red Roan, but his color will alter and I will keep you posted. The color, incidentally, throws back to Crackers grandsire 'Laico Leo Bar' and one grand dam 'Nevermiss Maggie'. He's a cutey and stunning to boot.
A few more 'moments in time' at the WCTC Spring 2018
On Sunday 27th May the SpringWCTC was held. I will be posting a few photos for the next few days of competitors on the 'trail'
To funny
It was a great day for taking pictures - here are some more. It is not often I get 2 horses with the same name in at one time. Here uyou will see them. Genie (twh) is a TWH gelding and Genie (jumping) is an Arabian mare/
We finally got around to doing a photo shoot of the horses in work at the moment.
2 of the newer horses that arrived this week. Blade and Yukon.
Mid month has brought a few changes of horses. More pictures to come of more horses. I took this picture yesterday of Genie - a 5 y.o. Tennessee Walking Horse. He was with me last year, but somehow managed to damage his suspensory ligament (all by himself). He went home for the winter, and after 6 months seems to be well healed. He is a stunning looking guy with a tremendous 'walk'.
Another short clip of me riding Honey. This horse is FOR SALE or LEASE
Some video of Honey at Walk, trot, canter and stop on the rail and around barrels
Lewis - a 3 y.o. gelding has come to me for starting from a long way away. He has a great mind. Watch this space for more info on him as time goes by.
A reminder, that Honey is still for sale. For details please chek my web page robkroeger-horses.weebly.com and there is a good description of her on the for sale page, or phone me on (403) 931 3788
