We all know someone that REALLY loves Star Wars, heck that person might be you!
Well, new this week we have a statue of the infamous bounty hunter himself, Boba Fett! But front forget that we have the stories that expand upon that Galaxy Far Far away too!

SUB TERRA is a mechanically light, narratively dark co-op game in which you play a group of cavers, with amusing colour-coded spelunker meeples, who've been stranded in an underground maze and have to escape before your flashlights die. Poison gas, hazardous terrain and dead ends abound, but there are worse Horrors lurking in the dark...
On your turn, you can take two actions: one to draw and add a nearby tile, one to move a tile, or one to draw a tile and immediately move o...nto it. Hurling yourself into possible danger is a must - you don't have time to carefully explore the entire maze, and the exit is somewhere near the bottom of the stack of tiles. Other actions, like securing ropes or hiding from horrors, require skill rolls, a simple but nerve-wracking process of rolling a 4 or better on a six-sided die. And healing yourself or others takes two actions. You can take a third, but then you have to make another skill roll or hurt yourself in your haste.
It's a remarkably simple setup that makes everything feel dangerous and desperate and hard to game out in advance. Adding to your troubles are the hazard cards drawn at the end of each round, which add gas, flooding, rock falls, earthquakes, and the hinted-at subterranean horrors that slowly but inexorably hunt after you. You've got your usual suite of character powers - medic, leader, geologist, make-walls-exploder - but even so it's a nasty little game.
Sound like fun? Well, that's weird, but you and up to five doomed cavers can try a demonstration game of Sub Terra any day of the week at Warp One. Good luck, you'll need it!

Very impressed with their selection of games!

User

Played some fun pauper games, bought some cards, everybody was super pleasant. Want to go back every Saturday!

User

Never had anything short of a great experience at this store.

I just wanted to thank Ethan at Warp One for his help yesterday. I shop there when I can but I've never signed up for an account. I told Ethan I was shopping for a family member who is in the hospital. I had a bunch of stuff, comics, collectibles, etc. It would've come to a lot. When I went to pay Ethan gave me a discount. I wasn't expecting charity or even felt like I deserved it. But I was there buying stuff to make to make someone feel better. Ethan was doing his best to help. It was greatly appreciated and the gifts made a positive difference. Thanks Warp One, Thanks Ethan.

I have enjoyed their service and selection this entire year! Never change

User

I have been going to Warp 1 for over 25 years ( oh gawd I am old) and I have always been very impressed with the selection and staff at the many different locations. Best shop I have ever been in hamds down.

User

I come here for the RPGs. When I first started popping in around this time last year, the selection slewed towards larger publishers. It was a decent shop for games. However, in the last year they seem to have made a HUGE push towards indy/small press RPGs and it is phenomenal. Best selection in Edmonton, and always a treat to browse the shelves for what sort of odd, off the wall games they've found this time.

The staff are friendly and obviously VERY passionate about the material they sell in store. Its a very, very positive experience when the people running the place know as much about RPGs as I do, and can come up with games I've never even heard of before. If they keep up the commitment to giving exposure to the smaller publishers and more off the wall gaming products, they could easily be one of the best gaming stores I have ever encountered.

User

Great support for our school program! Warp one supports new Magic the Gathering players well.

User

Big thanks to the friendly guys at Warp One for saving Christmas! They managed to pull together stock from two of their locations and get it delivered the next day just in time for Christmas.

Awesome guys at the card counter. I came in with a ridiculous list for a saproling commander deck and even though it was unsorted he still helped find a good chunk of the cards. The guy (sorry I’m horrible with names) has an encyclopedic knowledge of the cards and what set they’re from. I’d give him 6/5 if I could. Awesome job and keep it up!

User

A friend of mine recommended I go here, back in September. I play MTG, love the idea of buying individual cards. Most of which have been pretty reasonably priced, in my opinion. They have a wide variety of cards, new and old.. Which I definitely appreciate. The staff, for the most part, have been exceptional. Whether it be helping me find specific cards I've been on the hunt for, or suggesting others for my play style. Furthermore, they along with whomever runs their Facebook page have been super understanding and helpful with any comments, or questions I have had. I definitely would suggest this place to anyone! :)

User

One of the few places in Edmonton that I felt ignored and unwanted for not being neck-beardy enough. With so many other great options for comics, RPG nights and MTG throughout the city I've never felt compelled to try them out again. Besides the shunny vibe it had a great selection of things to scratch your nerd-itch.

User

Mostly there for the graphic novels. All organized well. Don't play tcgs so wouldn't know about that end. Staff was helpful when I had a question.

User

Every time I've come here for anything TCG related the person working behind the counter has been extremely useless, outright rude and sometimes has even mocked me for my purchases.

I would not recommend this store for anyone who isn't a 'hardcore' male magic player. All females and those interested in other games will be 'gate-keeped' or just straight up not helped.

Here are some examples:

Today, I went in to grab some Pokemon Boosters. Extremely poor stock to start. All the boosters were either rotated out of the meta or were from 2+expansions ago, while still being full price. I came to a compromise and got 3 packs. For some fun, I wanted to grab a MTG booster pack to try and potentially learn the game. The employee was unhelpful and unresponsive. To "learn" I was told to sift through a pile of discarded MTG cards. When I wanted to buy a pack his response was "Well, your money."

A female friend was in attempting to buy cards of a game outside of the MTG universe, and was basically scoffed at. Being asked such questions as 'is this for your boyfriend?' and 'do you just get these because you like the pictures'. Unfortunately this is ACTUALLY something that happened and not an excerpt from a greentext or an r/cringe post.

Every time I've ever been in here i have seriously wondered how any of the card counter employees are actually employees at all. Would not recommend this store to anyone really, always leave with a bad taste in my mouth.

It's a shame because Warp 2 on the north side is such a better store, much more helpful employees and (from what I've seen) better stock.

Just avoid this place and go to another store, not worth your time.

User

Come here for magic sometimes. But Chris who works the counter for magic is one of the most miserable Unhelpful employees I've ever met at any game store. If you're new to magic don't come to warp 1...you're much better off going else where.

User

Although the selection of Magic cards is nice, I was for the most part ignored in the store today. The lack of customer service is quite disappointing.

User

This is a beautiful looking store, lots of selection.

I've shopped here a couple times now and its been nothing short of a negative experience. New to a few of the games and asked some questions only to get cold condescending answers. Bought a booster pack that was tampered with...

I wouldn't shop here again.

User

If I could give no stars I would. My Fiance and I went to warp one to search for some comics. After looking and NOT being able to find what we were looking for we approached the lady at the front cash. We asked if she knew anywhere else we could look. She stated no and then proceeded to tell us that she would have to call the other warp stores... but really there is no point because we could just do it ourselves

... um excuse me?! You expect US to CALL the other store for a product that we want to BUY FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT?! No thanks. What floored me the most was that after she stated this she went back to drawing and colouring. If you were SUPER BUSY I would understand, but clearly drawing and colouring is more important than costumer service there. WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS STORE AT ALL. SUPER LAZY EMPLOYEES.
