Welcome to West Coast Wine Connection (“WCWC”)! After months of careful preparation, we are excited to embark on our adventure together, finding and sharing all the hidden gems (fantastic wines) we find up and down the West Coast. Our main goal is to discover and bring home some of the West Coast’s best wines to share with our friends and clients. And we are thrilled to have you join us!

As this is our first "about us" post, we thought we would begin our adventure together by letting you know a little bit about what we hope to provide our friends and clients joining us this journey. You see, my husband and I love great wine. All our close friends love great wine. And if you are reading this, it’s a safe bet that you too love great wine! Being in the wine industry, and having to seek out these hard-to-find gems for high profile clients for many years, our passion for outstanding wines has lead us to this point… Starting our own wine business. So here we go!

Someone once said to us, “It’s easy to buy a $100 bottle of wine and know it’s going to be a hit at the party. But the real trick, and where the skill comes into play, is in locating and buying a wine for around $35-$40 that blows your dinner guests away! ” – THAT is exactly why we started WCWC, and what we are truly passionate about. Fantastic, unique, hard-to-find wines at affordable prices. The kind of wine you can take to a dinner party and just know it will be well received. Ultimately, we hope to become a trusted resource for all our clients and friends, through consistently providing you with excellent wines that don’t break the bank.

You won’t find “Supermarket” wines with us, only small & mid-sized production wines, or as they are also known, “Boutique” wines. You also won’t find pretentiousness or any wine “snobbery” here either. Although we take our job of selecting some of the best wines very seriously (and turn down many wineries in the process), at the end of the day we are just a down-to-Earth couple with a passion for amazing wine, and want to share that passion with you, first hand as we find and taste new wines.

You can be on the look out for a lot of great things from us over the coming months, including:

~Wine Reviews – The honest truth about the wines featured, from real people, in terms you can understand.
~Pairings – Just some of our ideas on what goes great with the wines we’ve selected.
~Recipes – Occasionally we will cook up a great meal using some of the wines we select, which we’ll share!
~Winery & Vineyard Reviews – We’ll give you some great pictures and descriptions of the wineries we visit.
~Knowledge – We’ll be offering a lot of educational opportunities on everything wine related, from teaching you about basic terminology and explaining the various regions & varietals, to how the wines are produced.
