Thermal Imaging is a diagnostic tool used for non- life threatening injuries, saddle fitting, and to help track progress through veterinary treatment. Typically humans can detect temperature changes of 2 degrees, infrared cameras can detect changes of 0. 5 degrees helping to pinpoint the exact location of the problem. Thermal Imaging is non-invasive, and no contact, making it 100% safe. The animal also has no need to be transported, as the thermographer travels to the horse.

Horses are prey animals and will hide injuries for as long as they can. Thermal Imaging can help identify problems up to three weeks before the horse begins to exhibit more serious symptoms.
