Wonda Studios

𝗪𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐬 originated as an opportunity to give a voice and face to the underrepresented ethnic and immigrant stories in Canada. It was born as a result of the founders' film making experiences and lack of opportunities to obtain roles that were not restricted to non-speaking or stereotyped roles. This experience forced Bukky Wonda, the founder of Wonda Studios to go back to Nigeria to produce original contents such as; Bridges - a short film that was produced in 2018 and was invited to the biggest film festival in Africa, AFRIFF, The End - a short film also produced in 2018 and was nominated to Silicon Valley Africa Film Festival in the USA, Awkward Things about losing weight - a web series that was shown on web channels in Africa and finally, Carpe Diem, which would be premiering on Oct 22, 2021, and has already nominated for 7 Film Festivals across North America and Europe.
