Woody'S Rv World - Calgary

We purchased a travel trailer around July 25, 2017 in SE Calgary, Al was our sales man. We have bought many trailer's in the past but not from Woody's this is our first experience with Woody's. We have no complaints against Al. When I went in to sign the paper's with Russ, the amount was really high because he added an extended warranty on the paper, I said no I don't want that but he said the Scotia bank said that we required it for the bank loan so I said I guess I have no choice. A couple of weeks later I phoned Scotia bank and found out that they do not require this, I feel that I was lied to and had to take the extended warranty. Our first camping trip out we had no power, and we had to run the fridge on propane. The fridge did not keep our items cold and we end up throwing away 40.00 worth of food, we did phone Al and tell him that the fridge doesn't work, he said to bring it in when we get back, so I had to drive across the city to get the service department to look at the fridge, day or two later they said nothing is wrong with the fridge so I went and picked up the trailer, we went camping again that week and I realized the fridge does not work again on propane, the freezer works but not the fridge, so I phoned Al again and he said to bring it in again. Couple of day's later they said nothing is wrong and I asked them did you run it on propane and they said yes, but when I picked it up they were unplugging it. I brought it home again to find out it only works on electrical but doesn't work properly on propane. Had to bring it back a third time and told them it doesn't get cold enough on propane but the freezer always worked. Finally they removed the fridge found something wrong fixed the problem and put it back in. Came home with an empty propane tank and no one ever replaced the 40.00 loss of food. Then we were told from the finance guy Russ that they were paying of our other trailer loan because we traded it in and that Woody's is paying 13,500 to ATB when the payout loan was only 13109.05 and that we would get the 390.95 back from ATB, so today I found out from ATB that Woody's paid out the exact amount owing and they don't owe us any money, so I have left a message with Russ wondering what happened to this extra 390.95. Terrible service, not happy at all.

Took our RV into Red Deer in early August (2017) to get our hot water tank repaired. No rush, we weren't leaving for 3 weeks. They called said it was ready. They replaced the main control board and over $400 later it was ready to go. Three weeks later we get to our campsite for 10 days of camping and low and behold, no hot water. Tank not working for 10 days of camping. Took it back afterwards and they said they had originally replaced it with a used part. What!? A used part? Do you take your car in for a tune up and expect them give you used spark plugs? Anyway, they put in a new one that they said they finally had in stock and up charged me another $130. At no time was I told that they were going to install a used part, nor did they ask for approval. Not happy "at all" with this organization, or their level of service competence.

I purchased something for tent trailer. One guy was kind and found what I wanted. The price was reasonable.

Great selection of new and used, Phil in sales will help you find whatever you are looking for. Great store that sells everything you need for very close to the same price as regular retailers. Highly recommend.

Having driven past Woody's many times as I live in the area it was my very first choice as a place to shop when I was ready to purchase an RV.

Walked in, made eye contact with staff and was ignored. I continued to wander through the showroom. And then wandered outside to look at rvs. Must say great selection. But in the entire 45 mins I was there I was not given a single hello or a simple "is there anything I can help you with?" Devastating to say the least. I hate high pressured sales but I think being ignored is worse. There's nothing wrong with simply asking a person if they need anything. Then respect their answer.

Fortunately for me I found a great trailer at the competion the same day. And all it took there was someone asking me "is there anything I can help you with?"

JD from the parts department is as helpful as he is knowledgeable. This great guy knew just what I needed for the pinch I thought I was in. A quick chat saved me from hours of frustration.

We went to Woody's during one of their event days which means there was a higher than usual amount of customers. I appreciate that they do not bombard customers when walking through the door however front desk staff could be more engaging. When we requested a sales guy for some showings, Phil came to help us right away. A great thing about Phil is that he listens. He asked what we wanted and needed and never once tried to pressure us into something more expensive. He helped us find what would work best for us, answered every question we had, and made the delivery process a breeze. Phil went above and beyond to help us, his service is very deserving of a 5 star rating - I highly recommend asking for Phil when going to Woody's. Our finance guru Russ worked long & hard to get us the best deal possible. He found answers to all our questions and simply put is an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Recently bought a camper here. It was a pleasure every step of the process. We bought from the S.E. Calgary location and our salesman Matt went above and beyond, even offering to come in on his day off because we wanted our kids to see it. Russ was awesome in finance, super nice like everyone we met there. Will be continuing to do business at Woodys and highly recommend them!
