World Safety Organization Canada

The World Safety Organization Canada National Office (WSO Canada) was formed by a group of safety professionals and practitioners who had a common goal of advocating safety and pursuing excellence in the safety profession in Canada. In line with our parent organization, WSO Canada supports the following objectives: • Encourage the effective exchange of information and experiences between members of the WSO;• Collaborate with local, provincial, national and international organizations in areas of mutual concern;• Promote the continuous advancement of safety and accident prevention technology;• Strive for a universal level of professionalism and competence among our members, as professionals and practitioners of Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety, Loss Prevention, Accident Prevention and other related fields. • Support activities of local, provincial and national professional organizations in their endeavors to protect people, property, resources, and the environment. WSO Canada started as a WSO British Columbia Chapter and recently transitioned into Canada National Office. WSO British Columbia Chapter was granted chapter charter on July 2016 and established as a National Office September 2019.
