This park is very nice and peaceful, in the summer it is great camping the bow river runs right along this park, there is fishing and biking, bicycling, and there is a golf course a short drive away. In the winter I am sure this place is stunning and good for snow shoes writer fires etc etc.

Nice spot close to the city where you can walk the dog or just sit by the river and enjoy the sounds

Nice campground for walking trails and biking with kids. Playgrounds are far from campsites not in the middle. Could have more reserved sites in the middle of campground but those are all first come first serve. But pit/vault toilets lack hand sanitizer. No working washrooms or showers. Enforcement of generator usage is lacking as lots ran for the entire day and late at night.

We used to love this place. It is close to Calgary, well treed with lush under growth that gives decent privacy between sights and neslted against the Bow River in a perfect spot for swimming, rafting or fishing. Campground etiquette was generally well adhered to and enforced in a respectful manner. I don't know what happened in the years since out last visit. The campsites seem more tightly spaced and even though the under growth gives an illusion of privacy we were able to hear even the quieter conversations of our neighbours', when they weren't being drowned out the partiers, that is. Noisy campers went on to wee hours of the night with only a brief reprieve when the security vehicle patrolling the grounds drove by. We didn't enjoy this trip nearly as much as our previous visits, so much so that we may not return.

We stayed in ground C and took full advantage of the playground and trails to the river with the kids. The only thing that was a little off were the trails on the washroom maps did not all exist. One of the ones on the map would have been very convenient from our site but it was so grown over out could not be found from either end.

Nice campground pretty decent sites, bathrooms are pretty good for portapottys, but extremely dissapointed how everyone just had their generators going all day and night didn't get a wink of sleep... i get it using it once and a while to charge batteries or for cooking. maybe try and actually regulate your campground.. people leave the city to get away from that noise not lisen to it constantly because of that in only giving this place 1 star totally ruined my camping experience

Pretty average place. Nothing too special every is adequate. Quite area and decent fishing near by.

User

Charming little provincial park with large campground and nice riverside walks. Not really large enough for a decent hike but plenty of space for kids to run around.

It is usually not too busy and it is beautiful at everytime of the day. The is lots of wildlife and the weir is gorgeous. There are not many good fishing spots, but if you can get a good spot the fishing is good.
