Fort McMurray is known as Canada’s economic engine and it is no surprise to the businesses and people who live here everyday. In 2013, Alberta Venture Magazine put Wood Buffalo in the number one spot as the best community for business, and in 2011, is was named the second best resource community in Western Canada. . What makes YMM really unique however are those residents of the region who have incomes 95% higher than the national average.
