If you've ever owned a beeswax candle, you may notice a matte film cover your candle over time (demonstrated by the candle on the left). What is it? It's called bloom and is a natural process that happens to beeswax over time. It does not harm your candle and can be easily removed if you desire by buffing with a soft cloth or gently heating it with a hair dryer (the candle on the right has had bloom removed).
